You can't stop older type Wheels fast, i believe they had some problems with the swinging of the baskets or w/e they are.

I watched this twice...and the physics just doesn't look right. The way the child falls is..strange.
Sad thing to happen to any family, loosing their child. Like someone said earlier on, older ferris wheels take a while to full stop, also, i'm not sure they can go backwards.
