They roleplayed their way in. Roleplay stories as a part of application was made by Gvardia long time ago, so we can judge players creativity and roleplay skills, mostly for new players and random people.
If you roleplay your way in, you can get liberated from writing the story, and the application is just a formality for our database.

I do agree. But as far as it's writen as question in the application form, they have to fill it up. Anyway, this new method of liberalization is good.
