Well you want to build your own house...:/ Anyway, they are not lame, they are there for a reason.
Though, yes, it's actually quite fun to play the game acord it's rules.

 I don't play sims at all. Until I played this. I'm bloody addicted to it. I remember playing Sims one in I.T. class when I was in the 5th grade. I love causing disasters. UFOs ftw! But I enjoy Sims 3 better. sure it has an fps of 20 on desktop, and 18 on laptop on high settings (on a stupid chipset. How dumb am I?). I recommend this game.

Ever had a big imagination, 5 sims, all the furniture in the world, good lot space, and had no sims that had a job, and only had $9,000 and wasted $8,800 on furniture and making the house better, only to be left with $64?

I play with two different sides of the game, I call one side the 'Generation and Family side' then the other, the 'Building' side.

In the first side, ofcourse you guessed, I raise familes, im currently on my 2nd generation of Sims (I play with a slower aging mode so it takes them longer to grow up), and I dont use cheats in this mode.
I get them jobs and they pay for them own stuff. I managed to get one of my sims to the top of the Music Career, Rock strand, and now hes a celebrity cos everyone knows him
That was was the first sim I made, he ended up adopting a baby.
Now the baby has grown up to be an adult, and the first sim I made has sadly passed on 

On the other side, when I feel creative I LOVE building and designing homes! Alotta people have said I build beautiful houses 
I have no choice but to use the 'motherlode' cheat here, cos well.. I have to.

This game is not bad, but it sucks at the same time.
Why it sucks? Because it's exact copy of Sims 2. Exept for new emotions and types of life, and the town thingie, IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME SIMS 2

No, way better. It may look a little bit like Sims 2, but I felt like I was playing a totally different game.
Like from GTA2 > GTAIII
