This is worse than flu. You really don't read up much and just , as far as I can tell from that post, use alot of your own assumptions.

Let me tell you this, This is a Pandemic now. This can wipe out millions of people if it develops. This is NOT to be taken lightly. Thousands may die of flu worldwide. Thousands may die from H1N1 nationaly, in your own country. This is serious and treat it accordingly, do not take it lightly, as you will get a huge shock when you find out your assuptions are wrong and the real world floods in.


For anyone who is taking this lightly, H1N1 was supposed to die down in the summer months due to the heat. By the looks of things, it hasn't. thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people are infected right now. Some may show signs, other may not. Some can be carriers and not be affected by the virus and can pass it on easily. I still can't stress how serious this is. And by the looks of things alot of you do not understand what any flu virus does. It mutates constaly so it is very hard to control and develop a vaccine. Anti-viral drugs will stop it for a while, but not forever.


At Elite, yes, it will come back worse , it is inevitable. It is like seasonal flu, it strikes hard and fast in the winter months and not at all in the summer. But the difference in H1N1 is that no change has really been noted, people are still being infected in the mid-months of the year, so imagine what it would be like combined with seasonal flu. I am partially covered due to having a flu vaccine because of my asthma, but that only covers seasonal flu, whihc is one of the parts H1N1 is made up of.

The people being affected are in Australia, which is just entering its Flu months.
It's died down a lot in the northern hemisphere.

It now is a Pandemic according to BBC News. However, millions of people do die from normal flu each year which is a lot more than the hundred or so who have died from H1N1. There are over 27,000 recorded cases of the virus and it has spread to over 70 countries. There is expected to be a lot more cases of the Flu in the UK and other countries a like seeing as it's hitting peak Flu season.

Somebody has been diagnosed with the swine flu on a middleschool about 500 meters away from my home today.

But I don't think it should be a big problem, it's just a little overhyped. Mind you that the current method of fighting this flu, the Tamiflu, costs about 80 euros a box. Now where does that money go... Hmm.... :roll:

By the way, let me tell you something. With over 100 registered situations in Europe, there is not ONE dead person yet from swine flu. This is a flu like every single other one and I can tell you, people with weak immune system and people who do not cure their sickness die only.
