I made a prank call and ended up getting a guy promoted.

So I call the "Meriot hotel" or something along those lines, get through to a guy called "Shoejack" (I kid you not), and we have a bit of a laugh about his uncommon name.
Then I go through bullshit of saying I want to book a room, blah blah blah, I ask him to convert the cost from USD into AUD, it's off by a couple of dollars, I suggested for him to get their computers updated, he said he put a note about it on their system, I got through to paying with a credit card then asked him if I could speak to his supervisor; I said to Shoejack that he did an exceptional job and that I would be just rocking up and buying the room if it was still available.
I got through to his supervisor, used some positive words to describe my experience with Shoejack, and the supervisor said he was now in line for a promotion.
I feel awesome, that guy owes me.

I got to paying part, I pulled out at the last second, then asked to speak to his supervisor (boss), told Shoejack he did a good job, got transferred to the supervisor, told the supervisor Shoejack did a GREAT job, then Shoejack got promoted.
