At what point, the owner becomes the enemy to the players and vice versa? Why is it that the long-awaited return of our owners is making such a fuss? Seems like I have to be extra careful to not throw out the simpliest of accusation so the whole answer to this won't be just aimed at this segment of an opinion I will place. Doesn't it "itch" a little in your head, why you're attacked when you're only here to help, by not 1 or 2 people but by the majority? I'm not here typing to be the next in line to judge if you owners or the players are "wrong". With the playerbase lowered and your absence, players and hqs have come close and communicate in a way that I don't know if you're familliar with. The people don't need to fear the red name anymore to obey the rules. We may be fewer, but the copycat servers made the trash take out themselves. I'm talking from my own experience, i had a small 2-3 year run in the staff team in SA:MP with ceiling being Senior Admin. To earn up to that position i faced 0/200 for a good time of period in 2018 alone. I layed down hours which are my life's hours to bump the playerbase and use the bump to bring quality. I've layed down hours offline thinking and organising, online in discord discussing and brainstorming, and ingame inviting peolpe to join me for a massive roleplay or event. Both unnecessary and necessary mention, to support the claim of being in the front lines eating hours of my days for SA:MP Argonath. That's my personal story for the attempted ressurection and there are many others that were and are still dedicated to not let SA:MP go and have spent hours of their precious lifes.

If you're our friend, our solution, someone to trust again and can't see that this can't die as long as there is at least one person that is still taking time off their day for this SA:MP Server, you better have one hell of a comeback plan. Cause, you know we're here and chatting and caring and we're all wishing this magical comeback turns out good like you're insisting it will, if we all knew that for sure we'd all jump on it and never disargue. You've left us opportunity to question you, you've left as now with this attidute a bad taste of what was to be a celebration.

You're the owners you never will lose that position you started as the 100% of the community. We were the 100% of the community while you were gone. Maybe you think you know better for some narcissist reason, not my concern to judge it or being right about this lousy claim, but even if that's true and you do know better, care to explain why and what is the plan. We're here, we've come closer don't come back to create a gap again. We didn't even have the shot up until now to try revival with the sense of your owners being around. Surely, it must have been nice trying to work a server its own owners have abandonded for what we knew could be forever.

About the GTA III project Brian mentioned - I'd be against it. One of the contributing factors of SAMP's demise was its age. Do we really want to open servers for even older games?

Vice City is older than San Andreas, and yet it thrives as you've said yourself.

SA:MP ultimately had other issues in its backstory which led to its downfall, such as RS4-RS5 and so on.

If people are interested in GTA 3, as Brian said, why not? If people are trying to expand the community through avenues they're interested in, why not? It's only going to improve Argonath and give it a wider palette of gaming options in the community.

As Brian also said, it doesn't require a lot to run a server, resource-wise.

Give it a chance before dismissing the idea based solely on its age. :)

1. If IV MP has no scripter - there is nothing to develop... If there is a strong dedicated Community they will have to face with issue to find one...
2. ParUni should have the stable STRONG team of people who want to develop it with all needed knowledges as owners will not be involved in organization and with that cannot judge things correct as probably needed. I am talking about possible devs team fight between each other which is taking place constantly everywhere and can lead to massive destroy of all hell work... As for the server support from owners - well we are back and have no plans to leave - if Sauron or Gandalf do not respond to letters - just contact me via PM on forums as Discord for me is the only short convos issue and I will not waste time to run all over active dialogs to clear out what exactly needs...
3. SAMP - as was mentioned the future is cloud. So what wants the community? To run as it is? If the idea is to move to other platform - well that will be a discussion of other platform not SAMP yeah? So I would like to clear out the guys opinion - what shall we do (you up to) if the SAMP itself will stop its work... You will hardly gain any players there...
4. MTA SA - well as I understood the things can be developed and we are waiting for update from MTA SA team, am I right with the situation or not?
5. VMP - that will take the main attention of the owners and those who played RageMP Argonath probably understand why... We are still up to give another server to separated developer (one person is already willing) so that he can run there the "Proper RP" development with all Proper RP demands. Meanwhile we will start working on V MP server using all of its possibilities and in a way of Argonath Style - friendly to new players, heavy usage of all gamemode functions... As about current VMP scripter we are still waiting for him to contact us to clear out his position...
6. About all other games - everything is possible but needs a time for good organization of web and servers

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

Currently, I personally have access to or know someone that has access to

SAMP VM
IVMP VM

I have a user account for the TeamSpeak VM but it doesn't have the appropriate access to alter the files I need to update the server, or even manage things.

I do not think anyone have access to the Five VM

We do not have access to the MySQL VM, we also do not have access to the Argonath websites VM.
That makes it easy. Sauron probably has access to all unless some smart dev  removed his account but even then he can regain access.

The Argonath web VM uses a CP so direc access is not required, MySQL usually also just needs database access so for both apart from maintenance  not a lo is needed.

We will lookin oa CP to create VM, the web CP does provide possibility to do his and that will make creating and monitoring the VM's easier.
Those which are not used at all we can  switch off and create new vanilla ones for new things.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

VC:MP thrives due to other factors. If you'd look at its playerbase, it's mostly the same people since 2009-2010 with very few changes to it. It has a consistant and loyal playerbase.

I'd love to see a GTA III server, but I'm simply skeptical of it. Liberty Unleashed has pretty much died out and the developers dropped support for it. I genuinly don't believe this project would have any longterm success, so in my opinion, it would be much more logical to allocate that hard work and resources elsewhere.

CitizenMP:IV is basically a multiplayer mod for GTA IV which utilises the game's inbuilt multiplayer functionality instead of creating its own framework like other clients do. In theory, it should allow better sync and compatibility. As far as I'm aware, it's the only remaining multiplayer solution for GTA IV.

IV:MP is no longer in development and was dropped as a project. The T4 project was solely created by the IVMP Argonath Team for the Argonath Server. While it allowed other servers on the client, I think there was only one freeroam server. Basically, it's safe to say that IV:MP is no longer a thing.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We had a very well established MTA:SA server at a time, it really had everything but it only lacked some more regulars playing it. Don't know why people would not play on the server since the scripts was flawless and there was no toxic atmosphere.

Guys if CitizenMP will be supported by community which likes GTA IV, active developing unlike IVMP so there is actually future then we can support CitizenMP as a server of Argonath GTA IV... We will not separate GTA IV between two platforms but stick to the working one...
If you all agree then I simply will talk to those who developing it and set the decision with the following support from owners...
