Can someone explain me what is this GTA3 image?

Something like a .zip or .rar file, it's an archive that contains other files inside.

The gta3.img file contains mostly game models and textures for the world/map, vehicles, peds, weapons, etc.

If you guys try to get rid of all mods , and replace this gta3.img , sometimes it doesen't help. Find a thing named ''Rebuild Archive''. For me it worked. Or just uninstall GTA SA , SA:MP and all GTA SA related things and of course your gta3.img in models folder. For me the both ways helped ;P

As you can read , it's Original gta3.img .. Wich means it's fresh one with no mods.

Sorry if not on topic, but isnt this illegal? Sharing original Rockstar games files on the internet, as far as I know, is considered Piracy and is Illegal.

what's the difference between the gta3.img in part1.rar and the gta3.img in part2.rar ? Aren't both gta3.img same? If they are not,please explain to me how to get them merge together.. THANKS!

gta3.img is one file and it is divided into two files which are part1.rar and part2.rar so when you extract both of them in one place, It will only extract one file which is gta3.img.

If you didn't understand then I will explain again in a different way.

File "gta3.img" is divided by half into "part1.rar" and "part2.rar" and it is exactly 50% inside each .rar file, Which are "part1.rar" and "part2.rar" so if you want to extract both files or merge them together, then you need a program called "WinRAR", and you can download it from the official WinRAR website from here.

It is not piracy, we do not share the game here, just a solution for players who got broken gta3.img file (broken = messed up with the mods).
If you dont have the game, gta3.img won't give you anything

I checked the file from megaupload, and it works properly for me.
