Had this issue for like ages... 80% of what you taste is actually what you smell... your doctor cannot fix your tastebuds, but it is not your tastebuds with the problem, unless you know you ate some food at 85 degrees plus. With me, it is just I constantly have a blocked nose, so I can't smell anything a lot of the time (unless its like aftershave or deodorant), nor taste, ah well, you will get used to it once you are like fifteen.
