Why Doesent GTA SA:MP Work On Vista

hi there i have a problem   my gta samp doesnt work on my new laptop with windows vista,   it opens up single player mode??? not multi player   wat the??????????

well i use vista and it works fine.
i would try installing it again and make sure everything is in the right place.

I even has 1.0 version of GTASA and still had to downgrade as it was "magically" installing 2.0

If single player starts, it means that your firewall or antivirus is blocking samp.dll file..

I run samp on vista 64 bit, worke like a charm, only thing is to set compatibility..

My SAMP works perfectly with Vista. I don't have to set it to compatibility mode or anything.

Try to set it on compatibility mode with Windows XP, and try to see if that works.


Sigh, thats why I hate vista, Vista sucks (imo), and still there are people who get fooled by the look of the OS :S

Same here. My SA:MP works on Vista 64 Bit, maybe you will need to re-install the latest version of SA:MP or unblock it from firewall.

I can't get on sa-mp.com right now, but there should be a link right below/on top of SA-MP client download link on download page. Named 3rd party downgrade or something like that idk. Click on it, download and install it. Should work.
