I'd like to state my opinion about some of the server rules I disagree with. I was hoping people would share their opinion about these subjects. Please do not post bad experiences with the names because that will cause this topic to become locked.
1. Returning to RP after death is allowed for cops:
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe civilians are not allowed to return to RP with the killer(s) for 20 IRL minutes or to the same RP (which is what I usually do). For cops this rule does not apply, because they are there to protect the laws and catch criminals. Another argument is that there are many cops. I disagree. None of these arguments make any sense to me. In my opinion when you die, you can't raise from the dead like Jesus and continue the same RP like nothing ever happened. Cop or civilian, it doesn't matter.
The only time cops will return is if they are chasing a suspect. Being chased can hardly be called RP, it is more like action, where you try to escape and the cops try to stop you from escaping.
Of course a wanted criminal would prefer that all cops he killed would stay out of his 'getting unsuspected' range.
Not going to work.
2. Powergaming/Metagaming
It's allowed. This is easy to abuse for cops and especially FBI. They can pull warrants out of their ass and make shit up all they want, just so they can frisk and harrass a civilian who's just standing on the street. When this civilian backfires the powergaming and says like: "The warrant is not signed", the FBI Agent can powergame even harder and puts on reading glasses and say it IS there. Catch my drift? This is just horrible role-playing. In my opinion people shouldn't get kicked for it or anything, but when it does happen, it should be forgotten and/or the RP should be rewinded if you know what I mean :roll:

3. /area abuse
/area is a great command no doubt about it. Using a command script and knowing where a player is by asking or knowing from third-party player is a huge difference. Argonath may as well install a teleport script so cops can teleport to suspects.
Or we could switch off all chat and blips and criminals would never get caught. Also it would seem like there is nobody on server.
4. Carjacking is not allowed, unless a cop carjacks a suspect.
It's a good rule carjacking is not allowed for civilians. But when it's within a RP, I think it should be allowed. I believe it's not?
If you RP it correct, nobody will report you for it. If you wish to RP a carjacker...no such luck.
5. Giving weapons is illegal (this is actually Argonath law and not a server rule)
Why is giving weapons illegal? I really do not understand. Civilians are allowed to have weapons on them but they can only buy them at Ammunation? Aside from that, correct me if I'm wrong but since you're allowed to buy weapons at Ammunation by law, don't you automatically have a weapons permit because of that law? Anyway.. when there is no weapon deal and a friend gives a weapon to protect himself, I don't see how that is illegal. IRL it's not illegal either as long as you have a weapon permit, just so you know.
