Well, I started this topic to talk about the guns in-game.

I've noticed that most people carry a huge arsenal of guns wherever they go.
Most people use Combat shotguns, dual Tec9's, dual Mic's and M4/Ak-47's. Even cops do.

I myself never use dual weapons. I mainly use Deagle's and SMG, since I think those are the most realistic and best Roleplay-weapons, since people in real life hardly ever use 2 guns and run around in circles to avoid behind hit, instead of taking cover behind an object.
Sometimes I use Combat shotguns and Ak-47/M4 if I'm fighting someone who uses duals/combats or some other heavy guns, but I wouldn't be bothered if Combat shotguns and dual weapons would be removed, or at least cost more.

Please don't see this as moaning, it's not meant to be seen as moaning, but I'm getting very pissed off very often (I think some other people feel the same) when I try to fight a good Roleplay-battle and my enemy just take out Tec-9's or Sawn-offs and start to run in Circles shooting with it, which in my eyes (And probably some others' too) is very unrealistic.

So I would like to see what people say about their favorite weapons, what weapons it is, and why. I also would like someone to help me how to start a poll to see what weapon is most popular by votes, not just by looking in-game.


I also had some ideas including this subject, so I will include it in this post.

One of the ideas are making guns more expensive, to make it more realistic, instead of people running around on the street killing cops with an M4 just because the cop pulled him over and the suspect didn't pay a ticket of $50.
The guns that could be easier to afford could be Desert Eagle, SMG, Pump-Action Shotgun and Silenced pistol.
The guns that could be harder to afford could be M4, Ak-47, Sniper, Combat shotgun and Dual weapons, since they are not very realistic (in my view), but I know alot of people like them, but alot of people also hate them, so they could remain accessable, but cost more, so both sides should be happy, and it could hopefully decrease moaning.
Or not, I might be wrong, I'm just suggesting.

And Perhaps there could be some weapon restrictions in the Gang War rules, that the weapons allowed could be Silenced Pistol, Deagle, SMG, Shotgun, AK-47 and M4 (Or something like that). Almost the same as above, both sides could be happy and don't moan that the other side uses dual weapons, which I've seen from time to time.
And I admit that I have moaned about dual weapons and Combats before too, since I usually get pissed off when someone kill me (Not in Gang war though) by suddenly just pull out a Combat shotgun and kill me with 4 quick shots, or pull out a pair of Sawn-offs or Micro Uzi's/Tec9's and start to run around like a ninja spraying bullets and are impossible to hit.

Once again, right now I'm not moaning, I'm just suggesting and I want to hear what people's favorite guns are. Please don't lock the topic.
And no offence to the people using dual weapons. :razz:

I know that it's just a game, but I think at least some people agree with me on this, and I know that something like this have been suggested before.

So please tell me what is your favorite weapon and why, and say what you think about the idea.

I remember in the days of RS3 when people would be so scared of losing weapons that they bought only one or two and only had them when they knew they would be using them or if they were generally paranoid. I for example carried a dessert eagle when I needed one or knew that someone was likely to attack me, otherwise I kept it stored

I see now people carry whole arsenals of weapons to sell them to random people, or go into a warzone with more guns than sense and then complain when they die

Yes, it was better prices back then. I only carry a Desert Eagle when I'm not doing anything special where I need more firepower. (Kidnappings, etc)
Making the prices higher could also make room for more RP without guns, even if it's a fight.
Then melee weapons could be used more, which they hardly ever is right now.

The Desert Eagle is the most powerful gun in San Andreas.
Though it's slow. Reacts like a normal shotgun. But still, there is no weapons beats the Deagle in strength.
I mean, it takes like 40% of someone's health, a shotgun takes perhaps 25%.

To be equipped with only 1 gun instead of 2, is impossible as it's SA:MP having control of that "issue", but all of you know that already. But yeah, if it only would be 1 gun, I would use it constantly.

As on topic, it's foreseen they wont remove those guns. If I'm wrong, pardon me.
Higher the prices - no one but the real richies would afford them.

Totally right. I'm not bragging but I was in a very good deathmatch clan before I joined Argonath and I can tell you deagle is better than any other walk weapon. If you disagree, you're simply a poor shot.
Concerning run weapons (duals), if people wanna use them they should go for it. I don't see any problem with it. If it's about rp wise, I see everybody jumping like some kind of a rabbit when they're in a fight and you hear nothing about that.  
However...the best solution for this is to add a rule in the gang validation you have with other gangs about what guns you can use and what not. It doesn't have to be with every gang, just the gangs who wanna add a rule like this.

The thing is that f**king everyone uses combat these days, even cops. Not many people use better RP weapons like Deagle and SMG. You don't even need any skills with a combat to kill someone, you can just shoot 7 bullets and one guy is dead, then reload for half a second, then you got another 7 bullets to kill another guy.

If you don't see why I said the prices should be higher then you probably didn't read the topic very clear. The reason is so people shouldn't be carrying a whole arsenal of guns just walking down the street. The heavier guns should be harder to get and melee weapons and handguns should be used more. Try to beat down a guy on the street with a knife/bat, etc and they will pull out a combat and kill you in a second without any RP at all.
Believe me, I've tried. Even if you got a gun they do that.

In real life, gangsters don't walk around with an AK or a Shotgun inside their coat every day, in that case they would probably have a handgun tucked somewhere instead. If there would be an SMG people use on the streets, it would probably be a Tec9 or a Mac10/Micro Uzi, but guns like MP5's and Uzi's are probably used too.
In GTA:SA, the Tec9's and Mac10's are duals, so the more realistic choice for a Sub-Machine Gun would be the SMG, since in Real life people don't walk around with TWO guns. And I know it's just a game, but still.
You can RP your SMG another gun, like I do, I RP my SMG a Mac10 for the moment.

And about the hp, use a Deagle and it's realistic. Think about it, if you use the Deagle as a regular pistol then it is realistic, since you don't always die by one shot of a 9mm or .45 pistol. Some people survive after over 3 shots, but I would say 3 shots is the average for one kill. If you wear body armor, you would probably be able to take 6 shots.

Yeah man I think so too, it's a pitty that the dual guns is not single handed, then it would be alot better.

In SAMP .3 All dual guns will be wielded single handed.
