Rockstars didn't create SA:MP, it was a private project. I'm pretty sure they'd still be aware of it's existence, but I wouldn't know their opinion on it.

Kye did them a favour. He created SAMP. They didn't do anything and people started to buy it more and it got so much more popular. I think they love SAMP if not some devs of R* play lol.

Well also in the creation of SA:MP, more people actually pirated the game then bought..

it indeed isnt made by R*, but im almost 100% sure that they know about SA:MP
and i dont think they worry, more ppl will buy the game then

They Ofcourse know about it, as long it is a reason why GTA SA is so active still. and getting played everyday by thousands of people...

this is the reason they putted an Multiplayer on GTA IV too ;)

Thats my opinion too, its just like the goy that invented vcmp and other cool stuff, it makes the ''old'' games popular again and very popular when you can go and play with friends and other cool peoples on the internet.

The developers of SA:MP talked to the guys at Rockstar North here in Scotland ages ago. Rockstar are fully aware. You still have to consider this is an illegal project though, and that there must be a very good reason that Kye and the rest of the SA:MP team aren't out there working for the game industry already....

LOL maybe rockstar helped create SA:MP and are still supporting it now. Imagine though, they could make a sign on the next GTA saying, 'SA:MP was here' or something lol.
