Hello lads. I reckoned I was in need of a new PC so I just ordered some parts:

Motherboard: X58 mATX
CPU: Core i7 920 D0 stock 2.66Ghz clock
RAM: 6gb ( 3x2gb )Triple-Channel 1333MHz DDR3
GPU: 1.8GB NVIDIA  GeForce  GTX 260 192 Core
HDD: SATA2 3.0Gb/s 7500 10,000 RPM 300gb X2
PSU: Tagan ITZ Series 1300W
Cooling: Water cooling for the Processor and the HDDs

This PC will be clocked to about 3.6 ghz ( I'm not even pushing the mighty D0 )

Later on ( Maybe next year ) I might upgrade the video card, Put some more ram on ( I got 6 slots to play around with  :D ) Get 2 solid state HDDs and Hey Presto - at least 2 years of no problems with demanding aplications.

My question towards you: Where can I get high quality thermopaste from and in future what components ( The ones listed in the last paragraph ) shall I buy.

Great pc , dont worry it will last longer than 2 years  :)

 Hmmm you asked for a good thermal paste ?  Well my suggestions are: Arctic Siver 5, MX-2, or OCZ Freeze

Arctic Silver 5  => http://www.arcticsilver.com/as5.htm
MX-2 ( i've got this one ... and it does its job very very well , my CPU dont passes 45 degrees full load )
OCZ Freeze => http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/cooling_products/ocz_freeze_extreme_thermal_conductivity_compound

You're really wasting a lot of money on that power supply. It's way too big for what you've got.. One of those PSUs could run a GTX 295 in SLI, I think. Your electricity bill will also have a 'knock-on' effect. :P

I'd lower that to a 750W.

YAY. You bought the same CPU as I did, I've got the D0 stepping edition too. I won't be overclocking it though. I haven't used any thermal paste on my CPU fan/CPU, because I think that the fan that came with my 920 had thermal strips already on it. It's probably some really cheap and crap thermal material, but no matter. :D

I've got a 256GB SSD, and well, I guess you get what you pay for. My OS boots within seconds. Despite this, my advice to you would be not to purchase an SSD. Once the prices go down, and they come in bigger sizes, you should buy one.

An ATI 5970, or the coming GTX 300 series would be a great upgrade to your card. The 5970 is really future-proof, as it has DX11. You'll be fully equipped to play all the games you want for the next couple of years with that DX11 card.

Personally, I'd leave the RAM at 6GB. Upgrading it wouldn't really make a huge difference as there's only so much you can do, which you'd really notice. If you're building this PC for gaming, 6GB is more than enough to last you forever. D:

You don't even need 750W. Note also, that all the power (in this case Watts) are turned into heat,
so in practical you would have 1300W sauna stove inside your PC case. In fact, some sauna stoves use only 2000W...

And when that build is not even the most power consuming, it will rarely use over 400W on idle, barely over 480W when on load and if overclocked, not even 600W. So, I would go with 550W or max 650W power supply, to allow some gadgets to be added. In any other ways, it's just waste of money on buy and on electric.

yeah , if you want to make a SLI connection , then keep the PSU ... but its too much for a regular connection .... get one at 700W or 650W  ;)

Yeah thanks for the help guys. I got a spare 750W. PSU which I can use. Coming to think of it it really is the more practical sollution. By the way if anyone has got feedback on the video - card please tell me. ATI 5970 might last me for ever but is still very expensive. As I said before near Christmas-New Year next year I'll probably upgrade again for good with a simmilar card. Untill then I won't change the GTX260 I've ordered unless it's complete and utter useless crap ( Please tell me if it is )

Well, the GTX260's decent. To put it into perspective, I think you can play Crysis Warhead at like 30FPS with max settings. It'll eat most games. It's not really crap.. :P

My build is complete, apart from one vital component that you also are missing. RAM, which is still awaiting it's delivery. :(
