The Da Nang Thang

The Da Nang Thang is a group of Vietnamese gangster emigrants. The Da Nang Thang used to own a big cargo ship which was used to illegally transport emigrants to the USA. The Da Nang Thang organized a big shipment of gangsters for the USA. Their plan was to take all of the members to USA and conquer San Fierro. The local triads that owned Chinatown at the time found out and organized and attack of the cargo ship on its arrival. Some triad members infiltrated the cargo ship and killed the Da Nang Thang gangsters. Their leader "Snakehead" was killed in the operation. Snakehead was the main leader and organizer of the emigration. After his death the emigration stopped. With small number of gangsters on the street the Da Nang Thang were easily massacred by the triads.

Zhu Ming

Zhu Ming was sitting in his quarters when he heard shooting. He went outside and saw many triad warriors assaulting the Da Nang Thang. He quickly ran to two of the man and grabbed a AK-47 and started shooting. Him and the two gangsters managed to reach a dinghy and escape the cargo ship. The triads caught and killed his two friends but he escaped and hid at Pier 69. After the triads were done with the assault the police came and took the cargo ship. He was abroad with no money or food. He was walking alone down the streets and met a drug dealer that offered him a job. After working with the dealer for a year he bought a house and had enough cash to live on his own. He decided to search for survivors from the Da Nang Thang but there was nobody left except him. He decided to re open the Da Nang Thang on the streets of San Fierro and to see where life will take him.

The Da Nang Thang today

The tanker has been given back to the Da Nang Thang. Some of the members of the gang are living on the ship now in their quarters. Be afraid if you meet them on the streets because the territory of the gang is chinatown.
