Firstly, the gun was pointed down, second, do you really believe they'd allow a loaded and unchecked gun to be demonstrated in a public event for public to touch?

Don't be ridiculous, if he wants to be a 'G' and make a fool out of him self then he can, but really he is (i'm guessing) doing police academy or whatever, they NEED at all times to maintain not only professionality but SAFETY and SECURITY no matter what...

EliteTerm is right.
In France we are also taught that you must never put your finger on the trigger unless you are going to shoot. It also doesn't matter if the gun is loaded or not. Noany finger on the trigger.
