If someone could explain all forms of "Cop Hunting", I'd greatly appreciate it.

Being chased by criminals while attempting to flee from the scene because you are wounded. Or simply because you find that you cannot handle them on your own. (Happens all the time)

Or park right next to a cop with your Sultan (criminal car.. blegh) in order to make them chase you. For example, park infront of LSPD and wait for the first cop to start chasing you.

The first part is allowed. If you do not have backup, criminals can try to kill you in order to get the opportunity to run.
Second one is not cop hunting but trying to get wanted without RP.

I was part of the shootout, I was just sly enough not to get suspected by escaping to the roof tops where I met the two cops shooting at my guys, I shot them down and helped my men to escape. If what you say is 100% correct, then my tempban was not valid as I was involved in the RP situation that my members were.

As said, because of your escaping it could be that the admin who tempbanned you did not see the whole situation and thought you arrived at the scene later, in which case it would have been correct.
That is why we advise players to warn admins in case of somthing big, so that they can see from the beginning who is involved or if rules are broken.

I talked it through with "Ubershmight" or something, who I thought was you, and no matter how I explained the situation I was banned anyway. I didn't deny killing the cops in aid of my men, so due to the fact that I thought I had done wrong I had accepted the tempban and agreed to it.

Now I can see it wasn't valid.

No idea what people in this topic tell I have said.... but I think as usual things are not understood properly and start leading their own life.

Definition of Cop hunting:
A suspect who is not near any cop finding cops and instantly shooting and trying to kill them.


When are allies and gang members allowed to help and how ?[/b]
If someone gets suspected anyone who is involved in the roleplay at the time can help out. As for helping friends who got suspected it is limited to helping them get away from the cops by offering transport.

What is allowed : A group of mafia members are together, one of them gets suspected. The whole group decides to help by shooting the cops.

What is not allowed : A mafia member gets suspected for speeding. He drives to meet his group and together they start to shoot at the cops.

What is allowed : A mafia member gets suspected for speeding, some of his allies meet him with a fast car to get away. The cops can suspect the allies for this.

As for the situation of Romeo, I can not remember investigating or talking about it.
What I see from his words is that there was a shootout, Romeo was not suspected at the time, saw some of his members in trouble and killed the cops that were shooting at them.
This is not cop hunting, but was not allowed unless the members the cops were shooting were involved in the same shootout as he was. As Romeo got away and then returned to the situation, it might have been hard to judge for admins who did not watch it from the beginning.

In both cases, you're helping your member/allies, by a get away car, or by covering his ass, by "cover shoting", the  purpose of both is to save and aid your member/allie.
So what is the reason that first one is not allowed, and second one is, cause its literally both the same- Aiding.

  " HEY COPS! Get the fuck away from my brothers! Ragghhhhhhhhhh!"    /me sprays his gun wildly in attempt to save his friends

Then you can shoot them (maybe wait a few seconds for reply). Nothing to misunderstand then.

Maybe not, but as I said it depends on what was seen at the time. The admin you talked to is one of the community leaders, he might want to reply.

Yea but, just like our friend/member/allie needs get away aid, he sometimes need cover shotouts. Since you checked the log of the incident of us with Alsa  Araatus and Ben Samiir, you saw that we were just aiding him to manage to survive and extract him from certain death.
The same moment we puted him on safe ( since his hp was low cause of constant shoting on him), we went in cars and run away from the scene, cause our purpose wasn't not to kill cops, but to back them off a bit, untill we extract Alsa, just like we did.

The whole point of my sentences, is that this is a simple aid , role play aid, same kind of aid that happens in real life and in virtual RPG gaming world.

*Covering someone until he can move out, is the same as giving them get away car escape,  we actually did exactly that, the only problem was does 5-10 seconds while he gets from his burning car to our get away car with low hp by being shot, in order to  survive till he gets in the safe car, we need it to keep cops bussy, and as soon as he got into it, we rush out from the scene.
