A.R.U.N - Opportunities

All, we are looking for 4 community members to volunteer for the ARUN project.

The ARUN project in short is another attempt to recreate a body where official groups can be brought to life in exchange for them following set rules which can portray them as benchmark / role models to other members of the community. We are pleased to offer the following influential roles within the ARUN project and extended community:

ARUN Leader (one role available)
The role of the ARUN Leader is one of belief and control. You will be expected to gather the thoughts of the ARUN stakeholders before laying out full proposals for new initiatives that the SA:MP leadership team will be in a position to approve.

The scope of your responsibilities will include (subject to change):
   ARUN leader
       - Working alongside others in ARUN to create the rules which are robust against abuse.
       - Guiding and controlling group managers, consultants
       - Providing feedback on which groups should be suitable for official recommendation.
       - Ownership for the development of the 'ARUN forum board'
       - Holding meetings with the ARUN project stakeholders (managers and advisors)
       - Ambassador for the Groups

Criteria:
   - Applicant must have at least six months experience in Argonath.
   - Good track record (amount of times warned, kicked, tempbanned and banned)
   - Patience and understanding
   - Communication and control
   - Drive and commitment

ARUN Manager (one role available)
Groups are challenging to start, control and build. This is why the role of the ARUN Manager will be intense yet rewarding. You will be expected to have a good understanding of group decisions and control measures. Each manager will be designated to managing one official group and two upcoming unofficial groups.

The scope of your responsibilities will include (subject to change):
   ARUN Manager:
      - Working with SA:MP groups on queries, problems and challenges
      - Building a good relationship with Groups (unofficial and official)
      - Guiding them through concepts of RP and group maintenance - e.g event hosting and managing the group.
      - Guiding and controlling group consultants
      - Ensuring groups (unofficial and official) stick to the rules of ARUN
      - Peacemaker among ARUN members and extended community
      - Ambassador for the Groups

   - Applicant must have at least six months experience in Argonath.

   - Patience and understanding

ARUN advisor (two roles available)
Are there a lot of thoughts up in the air? Capture them and report them back to ARUN project staff where they will be recognised and debated on. You will be expected to be an influential player who can be designated to one unofficial group. To enable the best of applicants, we specially recommend group leaders apply for this role.

      - Good relationship with other group leaders
      - Providing guidance to community members
      - Ambassador for the groups
      - Providing feedback into ARUN

This is an exciting project which will include a real sense of a fully functional group system.In addition to working with the Argonath leadership team, you will have the support of influential members of the community to support you such as Cofi_Gvardia (group advisor), Romeo_Ancelotti (group advisor) Pete_Dubz (group advisor) and =AV= Dave (manager). This phase will be further complemented with the introduction of the Government system which is due to be rolled out in the near future inside ARUN project boundaries.

I am patient, I have never been punished plus I do meet the requirement of being six months into Argonath.

What do you plan to achieve in this role?:
For me, helping the community is all I can Do right now.. I like argonath, and I am trying my best to help anybody who ask me something
I would like to help by being a member of A.R.U.N, and at least try to bring some groups to be more friendly, or in other words make the environment between groups more Unity & Friendly.
It is easy for me to check the groups, Which does hold the rules, which has the right leading, and holding events is not that difficult either
I have in my mind, to do some things like organizing events(many in mind!) so there can be more fun! as for leading groups, I will do my best to ensure that no groups break rules or does not meet the argonath vision!

In conclusion, My main tasks & priorities will be:

-Create a friendly environment between groups
-Keep track of almost all groups & Attempt to help if there is some problem
-Organize a lot events with the support of the already existing A.R.U.N Official groups, For Example; DDs, Nascar Racing, Racing Events, Stunting Events, Group Battles as Events and more! (Can't reveal all my ideas  :banana:) With task to bring more fun and peace among the groups!
-Make groups realize that hating each other is not something need and attempt to fix any issue regarding hate between groups
-Ensure groups do not break rules and that they do meet the Argonath Vision
-Find groups which meet the Argonath Vision, and are worth being invited into A.R.U.N

Advisor is the position I think would suit me best, since I can give advice and councelling from my experience in leadership.

Do you meet the criteria of the role?:
Yes, I believe I do:

- I have played Argonath RPG for around 10 months. I have been in a fair ammount of groups and Gangs, and leaded some too. Such as Koltsov, AWR, Diablos. And a member of Pavano, Cems, Castello, Stracci, Gvardia.. I believe I could put all this experience together to give out help to new groups ^_ and even stable groups, to get the best of their Argonath RPG experience, and most of all, so they can have fun and not worry about any problems they may have.
- I have been kicked and warned a few times, for small reasons from the past, such as flaming and flooding, which I regret deeply, and have stopped doing since a long while. I also had a few tampbans, which tought me my lesson fully, but I have not had any tempbans recently. I believe I have changed my attitude in the last few months, because I realised how important the rules are. I believe I changed my life, which I could encourage other players to do, if I get the privellage of having this position. I was banned ONCE. And this ban made me learn my lesson. I have not done anything bad since this ban.
- I have good patience.
- I always see both sides of the discussion, so understanding.

What do you plan to achieve in this role?:
I have always been keen on helping others. And as a group advisor I would be honoured to give out advice to other groups and etc. As everyone might realise, there are oly a few stable groups in Argonath. I myself have leaded many groups in my time.. Such as The Koltsovi's Mafia, Los Diablos Gang, Argonath World Records...   will list my experience here. When I joined Koltsov quite a few months ago, I was trained in stability, financial aiding, and mostly money making skills. But I did not learn alot of RP. After a few months I became the leader of the Koltsov mafia, and I leaded them right to the top. But still, it is experience. After, I joined Diablos - probably the best group I have ever been in, Here I learned professional roleplay. I also learned how to keep a group stable, how to treat your members and also how to deal with other groups, and also have fun! I later founded a company called Argonath World Records (AWR), I know it's not a criminal group but this made me see what is needed to found a group and make it a stable and respected group. I believe I could help new groups to become stable and fun groups. I think that I could provide feedback on every group, about their stability, roleplay skills, and other things.. Then think of ways to solve any problems the group may have. One of my main aims would be to bring peace out of character between groups. Even if groups have a bad relation, why can't they be friends out of roleplay? Also, I would make sure that every group is treated fairly, no groups getting advantages or priorities. I would also help groups solve any encounters they may have, such as people flaming their groups.. and help them solve it gradually. I possibly would open a building - such as city hall, or A.R.U.N headquarters if there is one, and allow group members or leaders, or just anyone to come and ask for advice and support. I also plan to give information to groups on having more fun, not talking about problems or bad encounters. They made these groups because they want to have fun. So I would give ideas for different roleplay types they could to together to have some fun as a criminal group. I plan to get ideas that groups would want, and look into these ideas individually and provide feedback on it to A.R.U.N. I would keep track of all groups and check that they are treating their members well, being respectful to other groups, and also staying within the server rules. The current groups all have good points, but also bad points. All groups do mistakes sometimes, and I under stand that. But I would be willing to talk with any group if they are getting abuse from any other group. Or simply worrying about anything to do with their group. As I have experience in leading groups, I will be able to give information on leading a group. What to do in different situations, and what attitude to show towards their fellow leaders, other groups, but also their ordinary group members. Another of my plans to increase relationships and friendships between groups is to make events, which any groups can participate in and roleplay something big, together. And have fun, together, as the Argonath criminals! But also, there will be problems with this. With relations, so I do plan to encourage more alliances between groups, and not enemies. I understand maybe wars are fun etc, but I think that groups should have as much roleplay as they have wars and shooting. It would be a pleasure to work will fellow group leaders to make the community groups better and more fun to be in. I would help groups by giving information on leading groups - as I have experience. Another plan of mine, would be to gather a meeting, of groups members, without their leaders. I will ask them questions of how they feel in their group, and if they are having fun in it. If these members would say any problems, I could help resolve these by either giving them advice, or by talking to their group leaders or A.R.U.N staff. I would see being a part of A.R.U.N a big privellage for me, which I would be pleased to work for, and help others in it. I will perform all my required duties as Advisor, what ever it takes. I am willing to co-operate will all other members of A.R.U.N and take both sides, as they say, before making any decision or changes.

Each day I'm doing something special for Argonath RPG. Which includes : Exciting events, organising a group which helps me to help newbies, teaching (Rules, license ), quizes about Argonath.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?: I would like to help create a balanced atmosphere between different groups. Where things can be settled peacefully instead of immediately grabbing guns and shooting anything that breathes. I have been a Criminal most of the time on Argonath, but i have also been a cop. I look at both sides of a story and i don't make biased decisions. I would like equality between different groups in Argonath. We are a community and need to work together to create good things and be successful. Which is what i would like to be apart of. Also i would love to be able to interact with different groups in Argonath and get ideas from them and relay them to ARUN. I would like people to have fun, thats thee whole point in being here; to have fun.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?:

As a one of the leader's of Stracci I believe that I am a very influential chracter on the SA:MP Groups front. Not only do my own group members look up to me, I hope other members would too. Throughout my time as a leader of Stracci, 12 months, I have had many talks and compromises with other group leaders in order to solve problems and other issues. The main problem at the moment is that the groups do not trust each other thus not allowing them to co-operate. This creates arguments and other conflicts that lead to the downfall of groups and also the loss of respect.

A main aim of mine would be to bring co-operation between groups and to allow groups to respect each other. This could be done by getting the opinions of all members of groups rather than just the leaders. One would then report back to the leaders what needs to done and finally a compromise could be done. Another problem is that newer groups do not seem to be able to stay around long enough as the bigger server groups absorb most of the members. A way of counteracting this would be for smaller groups to have he support of the bigger groups. For example, large group A is designated to smaller group B who they will advise and support in becoming larger. When they are able to and have become self sufficient, smaller group B can then move on to the advising role.

There are many reasons why I would be suitable for this role as I am an easy guy to talk to and am willing to help others. I listen to problems of others and try to solve issues where possible. I have many ideas which can come into play if I where to get the role of advisor.

I am applying for the Manager spot.

- Do you meet the criteria of the role?:
Yes, i do, I have never been banned / tempbanned, only kick i can remember is that i needed to leave the computer as suspect when a emergency occured home, and the only warns i have recieved was by mistake if i remember right.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?:
I was in Stracci for around 6 months before, was a high ranked member there. From my time there, i saw alot which did destroy the fun for many. From what i have seen and readed about, the biggest factor that is missing between the groups and contributes with all this moaning between the groups is communication. Communication between the groups is a important factor and contributes in 2 big ways. One way is the atmosphere, it contributes to a relaxed atmosphere where everybody feels comfortable, and the second way is that groups can organize stuff between them, which contributes to the fun and no missunderstandings occurs.

I've also got experience in leading groups and other projects outside of Argonath (also studying at school how to lead a project / group) so i know what it takes. I love to help people out, and lead them in right direction if needed or if they are asking for help.

As you might have understand from reading above, my goals if i get accepted as A.R.U.N Manager is to improve the communication between the groups, to make it as close as possible perfect (even if it's not possible to get it perfect), and if it succed, it will contribute in many ways and create a positive atmosphere and to help groups if they are in need of help from a third part, advices or tips on how they can improve their group and take the right decision.

I'd like to apply for leader, if possible. (I've chosen for this role because I know I am experienced in leading projects, community programs and events. That means I have experience on those points, and that's why I think I am a good leader.)

- Do you meet the criteria of the role?:

Yes I do. Why? Since I began my 'Argonath life' i've changed alot. Today i'd like to do something for the community, instead of kicking back and watch the developers script and design all day long to make Argonath an even better and safer place, with an friendly atmosphere, and i'd like to keep it like this. I have never been banned before, once tempbanned due to a admin misunderstanding, the admin who banned me apologized to me when my temp. ban which I didn't deserved was over. I've mailed the Argonath HQ with the question why I was tempbanned and that it was an misunderstanding. Kicks.. I think one.. That was in my first month or so (I am not sure though) and I really can't remember what happened.. I've changed my attitude and I regret for anything i've done regarding rulebreaking in the past. After that, I have never been kicked/warned before. I've joined argonath somewhere in June or July, this means I have been playing here for almost a year.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?:

I am a friendly and kind person. I am always available if someone needs my help, and I will do my best to help him/her, no matter what.
By leading this project, I will come up with a 'Strategy', which is the following:

- Better communication with groups/players. Communication is the key to success.
- Help. If they have no idea how something works, or if they have questions regarding their members or something totally different, I will be there to answer their questions and do anything to help them find the key to success.
- Organise. An helping hand with organizing, for example; Events, meetings, or something completely different.
- Approach. Approach them with difficult situations and try to help them solve those.
- Leadership. Leadership in this role is very important, and since I have experience in leading projects/events/etc (Also in real-life) this won't be hard for me.
- Initiative. I will take full responsibility of this role and I will discuss ideas, problems or something else with other A.R.U.N or Argonath SA:MP Comminity staff if necessary.

As I said before, I am a friendly, funny but strict person. I will remain serious for the most of the time, but as I said i'd like to joke around sometimes. I am patient and I can remain patient for along time without bothering someone. I can remain calm in stressful situations and I will do anything to solve problems, that's why I think I will be a good leader for this project.

Yes, I believe I am. Since the beginning of my career in Argonath I have always had a part to play in leadering one group or another. I have been played leading roll in [TAC], Montana, Ancelotti(for two years), and several small groups which I have taken under my wing to help group. I have vast knowledge of the group system in Argonath, how they fail, how they succeed, what it takes to construct and maintain an official group, things to do and things not to do. I have formed good relationships with almost every group leader in argonath and I believe I could use the trust formed to make changes to the system which would benefit everyone as a whole. I'm brimming with ideas on how to improve the system, and even If I am not accepted as one of the following roles I will still play my part in trying to put forward and have accepted my ideas. I do not hold the best of track records, but I believe that one can only learn from testing boundaries and from experience, which I indeed have.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?:

As Ancelotti's founder and leader for over a year now, I believe that I know a lot about how the criminal group system works. Changes must be made, demands met, and I believe I am suitable to provide these for the groups that require it. I'm passionate about my group and will do what ever it takes to improve the system for my own, and all others that require these changes. I've been fighting for change for a while now(even if my methods do not seem to have been successful) and I will continue to work for an improved system that our groups so very much need.

I am experienced in leadership, decision making, negotiation, organisation, and training.
I have the experience required to make a change to the groups.
I maintain a friendly and fun role-play atmosphere within my group, and I believe if I could release this atmosphere between the groups as a whole, Argonath would no longer be full of group hatred. We need to unite as a role-play community and play the game for the fun, and pull away from this un-needed hate.

I know I am already part of this project as being a Group Advisor, which I very much appreciate, but I believe I could achieve more if I were to be accepted as either of these roles.

- Do you meet the criteria of the role?:

• Started playing in Argonath since 14th of June 2008. I have experienced a lot in Argonath, especially about groups. I have been roleplaying as a criminal all the time, using different roles and in several groups.
• About my player record, i cant remember how many times i got warned or kicked, but i assure you, it must be very rare, especially in the last months. I got banned twice, 1st: it was a misunderstanding available to check in  here. The other one, was a mistaken ban for like 2 mins, wrong id on the nick of SeetherFoxClaw, existing in the Ban Database.
• I believe im patient, and i do have a sence of tolerance, and understanding. But certainly not faking it, logic makes things clear, thats the regulation i follow.
• Well communicating was never a problem to me, i might seem harsh sometimes, but that doesnt make me an angry person, trust me im calm and i can manage anger easly, whatever is the situation.
• The main point here, is to provide a clear, fair and enjoyable environment for players, and groups in particular, and im and will be commited to anything related.

- What do you plan to achieve in this role?:
Lately there were a lot of conflicts.. Groups fighting for invalid reasons.. group members moaning.. sometimes the virtual war turns out to be a real war between group leaders, and takes part on forum where again a lot of provocation and mis-behavior of the members occure.
So plans might sound too easy, but shall be effective with the help of the fellow ARUN members we would build a tree of suggestions, discuss matters and solve issues. We'll try, attempt and finally bring back groups in Argonath, and this time alive, exciting and prestigious.

^{I have been an Argonath RPG Moderator, Argonath RPG Administrator, Argonath RPG webmaser.
And i am still an Argonath RPG LFS Server Manager/Leader, And still an Forum Moderator at SA:MP Groups, Clans, LFS Subsection and Argonath Art.
I have been a Member Manager inside =AV=, I am an ARPD Officer, I got a good knowledge of players and Server leaders.
I have allot expierience in leading groups, Or leading a server, Also following tasks given by the Leaders.}

What do you plan to achieve in this role?:
<sup>Giving out the experience of making a pact of the groups, and trying to Achieve an excellent roleplaying community, Making the groups allot better with experience and knowledge, so they can roleplay better, Improve their roleplay skills, and start making allot of Roleplay.

Also I would like to point out, that i will put my full commitment into this project, I have a involving project, that adds something to A.R.U.N

Also, i would like to have a good starting point for new players, So that "when they join" they will give the full details of the server, Commands etc.
I would like to recruit Good and active players with allot of knowledge to lead new players into the wonderfull world of argonath!

I think only grouped people should take these roles, since groupless people have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to groups at all. When I checked this topic and found that random people who aren't even in groups were applying for leader and other roles, I was totally gobsmacked and nearly facedesked my keyboard to pieces.

If groupless people get these roles it will fail quickly.


If I wasn't sick of taking the fall and being blamed for everything I'd apply for the first one, instead I might try my hand at the others in a little while.
