Following the success and respect of the "thank you, Argonath" and the "ideas from the regulars and veterans in order to make a sophisticated community" topics, I decided to implement the ordeal of the issue of constant moaning, complain, and flaming and hopefully come up with a way of avoiding such manners.

Argonath is boasted by the notorious free directions of role play it allows at its servers. It is subjected into the realms of cops, criminals, agents, firemen, medics, taxi drivers, SWAT members, citizens, prostitutes, mercenaries, business men, and popular business men. The majority of these realms of groups end up in positive directions such as friendship and thank you visits outside of the role play setting. But some times, when the world of cops, SWAT members, and agents clash with the world of criminals in negative directions, abominable problems begin.

Lets say for example a dispatch is called to a house in Marina. A group of gangsters related to the same notorious group known to have committed numerous criminal activities across the State of Argonath have been involved in a residential robbery and are heavily armed. The robbers are safe and sound within the house holding the owner of the property hostage. The officers, SWAT members, and agents are successful in surrounding the house and closing any openings for the criminals to escape from. Now, one of the members of the law enforcement are a victim to miscommunication of the current role play and decide to barge into the house shooting all of the criminals and hostage. They had no idea of the current role plays occurrence; they were just concerned about their own safety and physical/mental well being. The criminals, hostage, and/or the other law enforcement officers, agents, and SWAT members, criminals, and hostage involved in the role play immediately attack the miscommunicated officer, agent, SWAT member, or free cop on public chat. They falsely accuse him or her of being horrible role players, death matchers, and/or member of some secret troll society that ceases to exist.

Whats wrong with this picture? The fact that the miscommunicated cop lacked the skill of studying the role play going on ruined his or her reputation through out Argonath. The officers, agents, SWAT members, free cops, criminals, and/or hostage failed to abstain their anger and instead of teaching the miscommunicated cop of his or her ill doing, expressed their attitudes towards him or her in a public setting such as public chat. I wanted to contact these people individually in game, but instead, I'll do it here to express this mutual agreement throughout the face of Argonath.

Here is a list of things you can ask of an abusive, corrupt, or miscommunicated cop/agent/SWAT member/free cop in order to ensure the betterment of their skills and the community overall. These points don't only go towards a cop, agent, or SWAT member who committed malpractice, these can also be directed to criminals, firemen, medics, taxi drivers, citizens, prostitutes, mercenaries, business men, and popular business men:

Malpractice during a serious role play situation?
  • Inform the victim privately of his or her malpractice he issued during the role play.
  • Tell them privately how they can improve on their skills and tactics and eventually becoming a better role player.
  • Influence them on how you would have carried out a mission during that event.
  • Study how they follow the rules, and if they are breaking them, show them how they can improve without the use of administrative force.
  • Make sure you set an example of positive implementations into a role play scenario and ask the victim to do the same during times they are under the spotlight.
  • Teach them to work on their communication skills during a role play scenario so they aren't confused about their role in the situation.

Heres another example, you're a citizen who strives to follow the laws of the State of Argonath as best as possible. One day, you're driving down Commerce street going at 90 KPH. You believed you were going 80 KPH but failed to review your speedometer. A new officer of the law who just landed at Argonath two days ago immediately suspects you for speeding, pulls out their Desert Eagle and shoots you to death as you were getting out of the car to surrender.

What to do during a situation like this?
  • Track their status on public chat and inform them that such phrases such as "nice DM guys" and/or "wow abuse" have no positive effect and conclusion to any situations in game. Instead, the victim should ask for an investigation.
  • Also make sure to inform the cop, agent, or SWAT member to review their rights and the laws of the State of Argonath.
  • Remember to inform the victim not to ask moderators, administrators, or managers for refunds because of cop abuse or corruption for they aren't banks.
  • Inform the cop to ask the criminal to surrender or pull a traffic stop before taking any measures via the issue of scripts.

Moving on, you're walking down a street as a citizen with full armor that you purchased for 2,000 of your hard earned cash when suddenly a fireman sprays you off a cliff or a medic runs you over asking "HEAL!!?!?!?!" You immediately notice your armor is gone and wasted. Instead of complaining, moaning, and/or flaming the aggressor on public chat, use the proper reporting methods via the /report script. If none of that works, peacefully ask the aggressor to stop. I know a message like that sounds ineffective but you'd be surprised at the success of it when you privately ask people to leave you alone.

I hope everyone can take these points into consideration and situate these into their daily lives in order to ensure the betterment of our community overall. Because in the end, Argonath is a server we all love and respect, thats why we come in game every day hoping to have a positive and effective day. If any of these points convince a player to follow the rules and personal methods of self and mutual satisfaction, the credit goes towards the community. Only the mistakes are mine.

It's easier said then some in such cases, and this is because not everyone respects the rules, others opinions, feelings.

Unless people are willing to remove there heads from there high places it will continue - I've seen many people who started of scared of high ranked cops, thinking they'd not like freecops investigating, and all of these silly things, I may have tried to tell them they're supposed to be humans.

We must face the fact: people are just naturally selfish, it's rare to see something other then this, in fact some people even help others so it'd become useful in becoming an admin (again?), they do it on request or when someone makes a topic like this, hopefully by stating this paragraph again they'll either give-up now or prove me wrong.

& In before: I get moaned towards from people for these above comments; read the first sentence of my post and iMunnas entire post then re-think. There is no way in which the above stated facts in my post can be ignored.

Also, this community boasts for being full of free directions and also free minds, this thread looks as if it would damage someone's free thinking, and finding out himself, it's a game :), although you may wish well, it doesn't seem right to continually tell people ways in which to do this /  that - there are admins for this reason, they'll
decide the best and will continue to protect others, as long as you have good clean fun it's all-right.

also by talking of the unlimited RP jobs in the thread, you've certainly managed to limit them

something people should realize is that the server opens the possibility to constantly meet and befriend new people through roleplay.
When a new player arrives at any roleplay situation, he is bound to try and do something to get noticed. In many cases the reaction to this is negative. The new player is told to go away, in some cases reported for ruining roleplay, or just plainly attacked and killed, thus making them think it is accepted behaviour.
Instead of negative, treat players in a positive way and involve them, even if their first action are annoying, as this is a way to attract attention.
In the above example, I doubt this would actually take place knowing the weapons criminals carry. One single misguided cop will not be able to barge in and kill all, he will be killed instantly upon entering the premises. If this is folowed by either the criminal launching a break, or all other cops barging in as well, then the situation turns. However this is not the result of one single player losing patience or misunderstanding the situation, but all players following in to the single mistake.

If we speak of a new player, I would personally doubt that a single new cop with spray can, nite stick and deagle will be able to kill a number of criminals with combar shotgun. If he manages, invite him to SWAT at once.

You never know, actually. Once, on my non admin account, I was acting like a total newb and rushed into a 207 while all the SAPD / FBI were outside talking strategy...I walked in, killed 3 suspects, saved the hostage single handedly, using only my deagle and pepper spray. :D

Only problem..you were not really new

On a serious note, iMunna speaks pure sense as I see it, good luck in trying to have Argonath's members understand this spirit, in fact I am glad that a few of you actually understand the vision, from my experience ingame. If a miracle happens and around 80-90 percent of Argonath's members truly understand and implement this vision in their time ingame, your ingame experience will improve by leaps and bounds.

Do not forget the club of "wanabe admins" accusations... Once a player tells someone about rules of server, there are several retards who immediately accuse them in wanabe admins... And as for me this club is acting on purpose to destabilize the Argonath traditional helps in game...

So from one side is attacked the newbie or misunderstanded guy, from other side are attacked those who help with the rules knowledge...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

Player1: OMG!! ABOOZ
Player2: Stop moaning.
Player3: Stop moaning!!!
Player4: Stop moaning.. use /gu.
Admin1: Player1, it's not nice to moan, please use /gu and ask for an investigation.

I see such things happen every day. There are not many people who are open to RP with new players.. they will go 'OMFG STOP RUINING RP GO AWAYYYYYY"
The sad thing here is that most people think of like "Hey I'm good with my friends, I don't need more of them." And that's what causes this...

Nicely said iMunna.

I correct people every once in awhile as far as the rules go. I just let them know politely in a PM lol. /pm [id] You Shouldn't DM people, this is a RP server, check /rules, use /ask if you need help. Just something simple, i don't think that is a wanna be admin, that's just respect. Although when people flood the main chat with telling people don't moan or spam or something then that is not very good eh.

I agree with your topic here Imunna, people need to understand we need to work together and move forward as a community. For example(no i don't wanna spark a debate on this here) the Dark line between how cop's and criminals feel towards each other, i caught myself on a side once and honestly it wasn't fun at all. That's when i have been applying positive things to my actions around this community, offering help even to people i don't like a whole hell of a lot. Sadly in order for anything good to come out of your topic people need to take time to read it and take it into consideration. Well said though Imunna.

Cops:: Don't go near them! they cophunt and they'll pull combat out of ass and DM you!!!
Criminals:: Don't go near cops or near LSPD/Pershing.. noobcops will suspect you for nothing!! money hungry cops!!

That's the current vision, At least in my eyes that is how most people speak of for each other. Only the actual TRUE players who are NOT afraid to be hurt in game or so.. and care for FUN! And not for stats/ achievement or loosing money in a DAMN!! GAME!! (Yes it is!! you don't get the $$ of the game outside to RL life, do you?) will go against that vision and actually try to have fun with all of them. Both cops and criminals.

Some people need to realize this.. if YOU loose money in game, IT'S NOT YOU! who looses it! it's the god damn CHARACTER! This is a GAME!! Not reality!! Stop crying for loosing money.. I see people moaning for loosing 100$.. so damn what?!! It's ONLY a game! Have fun and forget the stats... for once.

Couldn't of said it better myself, iMunna. You bring in some great points that really need to be listened to by the Argonath Community.

Do not forget the club of "wanabe admins" accusations... Once a player tells someone about rules of server, there are several retards who immediately accuse them in wanabe admins... And as for me this club is acting on purpose to destabilize the Argonath traditional helps in game...

No attempts to help new players are ever accepted by the other "regulars".

You try to assist someone new and if the right person is standing near you they throw false accusations at you for attempting to be an admin.
For most people Argonath is not like every other server. Things need to be explained in order to fully understand the concept. But how is that possible without the harsh criticism? Unless you actually are an admin, you are frowned upon from helping new players in the community.

/hduty seems to be the only way to help new players while remaining anonymous to regular players.
Even then, you so get deemed to be an ass kisser of sorts
