Sometimes it is hard to keep up with people replying to your posts when the smiley shows from a post from a year ago.

I was thinking of colouring the smilies, to a different color for how long ago you last posted.

Example;

- Green could be last replied within the last 24 hours.

- Blue could be last replied within the last week.

- Red could be last replied within the last 4 weeks.

- Default could be last replied after 4 weeks ago.

The colour scheme seems without a logical order, and quite frankly, it's rather unappealing.

The scheme itself might be difficult to grasp at first, but I think BlueFox has a nice idea here.
Maybe the colour could range from, say blue and gradually faints to a paler shade, the longer the duration of time your replied on.

I think this would be used by the more active forumers, as it will be most beneficial to them.

Also why can't we just like... look at the dates when the last posts were made on?

^ True, but this is I think just a more convenient way. Brings a nice extra feature, nevertheless.
