First attempt making a signature (Don't laugh, give me tips)

This is it.
My very first attempt at making something.

For your first try it really isn't bad at all, but I suggest you to choose a different background gradient.. Looks a bit better in my honest opinion.

That isn't the correct size for a signature. For Argonath use 500x125px or smaller.

If you have rendered him too bad,then go like this :
Draw the form of that Guy(as you might have done to render),right click inside the form,do "Feather" ,then type "33".There might be an alert with "...will not be visible" but thats an alert,not an error After that,you Do following Key-combinations : First "CTRL+C" ,after that "CTRL+V".You will observe a new layer,Duplicate that one three times.The layer that is at position 1,will have an opacity of 60%,the second one will go like this : Go to Blending Options and set Blending Mode to "Soft Light".The Third Layer : Filter -> Blur -> Gaussain Blur.Adjust the slider however you want it.In the meanwhile you can delete the main layer.Thereby the Guy will have a great look

After you have done these steps,your Signature cant be done that bad anymore Get a nice Background.Either one with sense(A Bag with Guns,etc.) or a Background with Abstract stuff.Thats your business.

For your first attempt I't rather good, You've shown you can use the basic tools within photohop.

if I may advise,

Try not to use bold colours, use clean and simple colours, and keep the style of text similar to the theme.

Check for tutorials online/google, this is the first ever tutorial I used on photoshop to get started, It's really easy but it looks good. Try adding a text to it later after you finished tutorial

 :ps: you dont need to use photoshop CS2 on it, any photoshop over cs2 will do
