Check the connection cables. If you have some spares use one of them, if the spare works then it is obviously the cable. If a new cable doesn't help then try to plug the moniter on another computer to see it has the same problemo.

If you are using a laptop, try pressing FN + F4.If that does not work, remove the graphics card, turn the PC on, turn it off. Then try re-inserting the graphics card and try again.
Uh, are you using a different monitor to the one you were using when your PC was working fine? I had the same problem once and I realised it was just the TV I was connecting my PC to was incompatible with the resolution I was using.
