Don't be a cunt and buy a scooter, as Aksel said, they're for fags.

Get a sporty 50cc such as an RS50, TZR 50 etc..
Trust me that isn't the best choice.. when we pass one of those 'bikes' we laugh at them (wannabe superbikes with slow gears and shitty sound), if you want a real bike wait until you are 18 and get a 600cc, otherwise just go for a scooter.

Get a real bike.
What 'real bike' can he drive at 16 in your opinion?

Any geared bike which is 50cc. Depending on what style you want:

 :: Yamaha DR50,
 :: Aprilia RS50,
 :: CPI SX50 (My 1st bike. Faired well on the trails!)

Plenty to choose from; one just has to look. ;)

I'm also saving for a scooter, same as you: Not too expensive.

I'm already eyeing on a scooter which is sold alot in Holland called the ''Tomos'' They differ in prices from 500 Eur minimum for second handed to 1500 Eur for a brand new one.

For these scooters, you should NEVER buy them new at a dealer, because you almost always pay way too much then.

You should buy them second handed at a dealer or some random person on the internet.

The average Tomos looks something like this:

Now the second thing you should watch out for is the 2 kinds of scooters available (atleased in Holland)

Which is the ''bysiclepath, 25 KMPH, blue licenseplate'' one and the ''Regular road, 45 KMPH, yellow license plate'' one.

The blue plate will cost alot less, in either price and insurance.

I'm gonna look for a blue plate, cus in my city, it's way easier to go over cycle paths, than normal roads.

Unless you live in the country side and you have to travel great distances, then the yellow plate would suit you.

But, Doggz0r, I haz Q 4 u.

You say you're going to take your theoreticall exam soon. Which would not be enough in Holland, nowadays you also have to take a practicall exam, to get your license.

The theor. will cost around 50-70 Eur, but the prac. Exam around 200 Eur.. So watch out for that.. Though I do not know if those rules match the ones in Belgium.

G'luck mofo.

Theoretical exam in Belguim, costs 15 euros (Atleast for the VAB Driving School)
Practical Exam is 15 euros, pretty cheap compared to Netherlands. :o

The whole license shit costs 5,000NOK in Norway. That's about 550 euro.

You don't buy a moped to drive in 45 KM/H, lol. And I am dissapointed in you Dutchy. You live in the netherlands and you don't want to fix your engine to go about 120 km/h?!

ITT: People think driving something that looks like a super-bike but will only do 45KM/H is better than a scooter. Get real.

Atleast those who drive scooters are concious about it, not like the faggots on these "super mopeds" who think they're the shit.  :roll:

If you're going to drive something with the looks of a super bike, wait until you're 18 and can actualy get one.

@Aksel

Yes you do, you buy a moped to drive 45KM/H, it's the law. "LOLOLOL FUCKTHAPOLICE" Yeah, I'd like to see you say that when you get caught by the cops, get a fine and have your plates removed. Been there done that. Not worth it.

After I started driving a car I learned just how vurnerable bikes are in traffic, I was driving at night and I was at a cross, I didn't see the fucking thing until it was right infront of me and I had to slam on the breaks. Dont tempt fate.

Looool. I don't really care if I get stopped on my moped. It's life. You get stopped and plates get removed. No big deal really. All you need to do is pay the fine and get the plates back by putting on all the original parts again. :)

My bike goes a hell of a lot faster than 45kmph and why would you want to be seen on something as ugly as that scooter thing Dutchy posted?

I never said you should buy THAT scooter, now did I?

If you get stopped you get stopped, as you said Aksel. But you can avoid a 800 euro fine, losing your plates and having to push it home or having someone come with a pickup and get it for you, which is a fucking hassle.
