What's crackin',guys.

Recently,I've installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on my Acer Aspire 6935G.And it pretty much shows, how slow it can be.Meaning, that the laptop runs slower, than it used to be at Vista(And that means something!)

Anyways,I've decided to post here,to get suggestions,to make my Laptop run at its best.

PC Specs :

Acer Aspire 6935G
449 Gigabite intern HD
4GB Random access memory (RAM)
nVidia Gefore 9600GT
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU   T6400 @ 2.00GHz
2.00GHz

Which means,i have a pretty powerful Laptop here, actually!

So my question is.What can i do,to make this run smoothly and without big obvious problems?Because even playing SA:MP makes trouble, which isn't supposed to be.

Kind Regards,
Emre

Blast the fan out with air (not too powerful) this helps sometimes, the cores will not overheat and slow down as easily.

You could also try disabling some of the Appearance features.

I believe in Vista, if you type 'msconfig' into the 'search' tool in the start menu, you could disable some programs starting up. For example if you have a useless utility such as 'PC Help' you can disable it.

Please Note that Live Messenger CAN be disabled, but miraculously Makes itself start up again for unknown reasons.

Hope this helped.

Joe/Julio

If x64 is malfunctioning, try x32 and see if the problem continues.

Yes its x64,yes,it was a quite fine installing,i already configured with msgconfig.exe (works on all, julio ;) ) and mainly my PC goes quite smooth now,but still not much smoother,as it should be. I have observed a mad issue ; I turned on NFS HP to check whether it goes smooth now (it does) and so does FIFA 11 now. BUT suddenly my laptop shutted down by itself, like "The player runs ... runs .. WOOSH!Off".And it all without a battery in the laptop(cable only). And i assume its the temperature.

How to adjust it,how to avoid it or how to get rid of the "rise" at all?

I'm looking forward for further help of you guys,in the meanwhile i'll install some drivers :)

Get a battery. This can stop power surges and crap like that from making your computer turn off.
Is the laptop used on a desk, as a desktop PC, or is it used in different places/on the move ?

lmfao thats what I have to do, in fact, I'm doing it now! My comp gets to almost 100C, at which point performance has dramatically decreased. GTA SA is a big strain on it, so it obviously heats up the system xD
