Think about it, imagine how many textures SA loads.

Try turning the draw distance down a bit, that could help

Hi Emre,

A few questions for you, along with a few answers!

In term of performance, how much slower would you say it is in comparison to how it was before?

As always, I would make sure that you have the latest drivers for your computer. I would think that if anything Windows 7 should run faster because of the way it is designed.

I always have issues with SpeedStep ( in the bios options ) its function is to slow down the laptop to save $$$ but i find it sometimes slows it down when I dont want it too!

As always with new operating systems, make sure that your configuration is similar to your Vista. What i mean by that is, make sure in the Performance settings, (right click computer go to properties) check your performance rating. If it is nearly identical as what it was in vista, its probably a games setting like shadows for example that is causing the slow down. If you have a lower number in your rating compared to Vista, I would investigate into that!

Hope That It helps!

Happy Gaming!
Regards,
DellStorm

When adding value gets you worse off than you were before, due to a hidden agenda against you, its time to quit. Then remember why you quit in the first place.

Oh,so that the laptop's air doesnt remain muggy?

Anyway,i am trying it out now :)

Though, what makes my games like Gta SA on lowest resolutions lag,and games like Fifa 11 Not?

Please get rid of x64 and install x86 on it. Then go to all of the components' manufacturers' websites and download the latest drivers. If that doesn't work out try the last stable drivers you've had. If you have cooling issues the least you can do is raise the lappy on its four corners with books/cd cases etc. If that doesn't work out get a laptop cooler or make your own. Your main problem with heat is that you have both a very hot CPU and GPU. Most of the times on laptops as there isn't much space they are forced to use the same heatsink. If it's out of warranty I'd suggest stripping the plastic shites off it and then taking off that heatsink. Remove all residue of TIM and replace it with new, good stuff. I'd suggest Arctic MX-3/4 or Noctua NT-H1. Just read around the net if it's a common issue or something but seriously, start off by installing x86 on it.

Dellstorm, vista had become worse than ever, and windows 7 only a bit better.Pity though

Todor,i am getting around 40 updates now, including some atheros shit .I'll leave a message here to post, whether it worked out or not, what to do.

Just,why is x86 /32 better than 64?

Got vista ultimate x86(Its eating 1GB of my RAM,thanks alot) and i am playing games without problem ... For a while!
E.G. : Half a week ago i was playing GTA:IV for around 30 minuntes, after a while the Laptop got very noisy by the process inside.I thought "meh, its acceptable".
And BANG!Guess what!My Laptop overheated.I restarted asap and got a bluescreen with hieroglyphics.I took the vacuumcleaner(whatever its called) and hoovered the laptop.
Now today,i started playing IV again, but this time i did the book thingy.Played for around an Hour and again a overheating-shitdown aka shutdown due to system error after reaching over 100 degrees Celsius.
I started, got BSOD again,re-started and started CoreTemp checked temperatures, and one CPU was at 96C,the other one at 105,and that really started to frighten me,as that is basically the beginning of the Laptop's end.and the Laptop is actually not that old that it cant run GTA IV and also at a low resolution.
PLUS,the PC got even down at SIMS 3 and a high temperature while using mozilla firefox.

So ... what is this all about? It started while it wasnt a big issue but now its damn deadly. The keyboards left half is even damn hot.
