    • A Time for Rebuilding: SA:MP HQ's 5-Point Agenda
on: December 20, 2010, 03:22:45 am
Hello there.

I am currently having some problems with my SA:MP, which have resulted in ingame inactivity. While I could managed to start up SA:MP and the GTA:SA file in Windows 7, it is unable to connect to any SA:MP server successfuly. I was hoping someone might know the solution for my problem.

Additonal Factors:
- Operating system is Windows 7
- User account is 'Standard', not 'Administrator'
- Antivirus is Norton AntiVirus 2011

Any help would be appreciated, thank you. :)

Hello.

I will try my best to help you.

When samp + game have loaded what happens from then on? Im going to assume this for now.... it says "Connecting to 178.63.52.144:7777...." multiple times if so have you checked your firewall to see if its allowing samp to connect?

First of all, Norton sucks. Second, try opening port 7777 in your firewall. Third, please provide some information about your internet connection; wireless, modem, etc.

happened to me a few times,
i just waited some hours and went and took a nap,
then suddenly it was all good, and i could connect and all.
try unplugging your internet connection cable, and plugging it back in.
maybe this will help.

I have yet to check my settings in Norton, although on a side note my internet connection has always been the same one I used since even before I joined Argonath.

Having the same issue. Only trouble is my NIS has bugged up and I can't even run or uninstall it.

Nvm. Fixed - it was Norton. Used Norton removal tool as my norton was all screwed up and I'm happy using Avira now  ;)
