When I log into Argonath SA:MP, I log in smoothly, no lag. But when I play for 5-10 minutes, I experience chatlag ranging between 5 - 20 seconds, and eventually I am able to see messages from other people, but chat I type myself won't be shown. Either that happens, or all scripts freeze for me (not the game itself, but argonah scripts), I won't be able to type chat, because it simply doesn't respond and all people freeze and stop moving. This is fixed when I relog. BUT to fix the game I have to relog twice, because when I relog for the first time it either says.

Connecting to blablaIP and freezes.

Connecting to blablaIP
Connected, joining game and freezes.

Connecting to blablaIP
Server doesn't respond, trying to connect.
Server doesn't respond, trying to connect.
You are banned from this server.

But when I try a second time, I can login normally and the same thing happens again..

I already tried reinstalling GTA SA and SAMP, I deleted all files and placed GTA SA in a different directory, this all failed, as I still experience the same problem.

Though, what is strange is that my directory should be located in C:/program files/Rockstar.
But I manually moved it to desktop because it's faster to acces the directory that way.

I also fail to find ''rockstar games'' in start > all programs.

Does this mean I have to reinstall GTA SA again and try to create the program files directory? Because I honestly wouldn't know how. I DLed GTA SA but I can't find the uninstall option, nor the install option.

Can anyone help?

Could be a network problem. If it tells this Connecting to [IP] .. And after that it gives you a ''You are banned from this server'' , it's highly possible that it's a network problem. Try resetting your router.

Thing is, I live in an appartment building (not a flat) and we share the same internet, same server, same provider. We also share the costs, but there's always alot of downtimes and other trouble, so I'll ask the administrator of the internet.

Hi Dutchy,

The problem you are experiencing is all network related.

This could be because of the following circumstances:

You are using A Wireless Connection.
Try Going nearer to the Box supplying your internet and see if the issue still occurs.
If this fails, try using a Ethernet cable plugged in the Box itself.

You have a low quality Broadband Box.
This is a frequent one. So far there is no direct fix, other than to take the power out of it and plug it back in again. It usually happens after a few days when a lot of data gets transferred so resetting the box puts it back to normal again!

It would appear that theres nothing wrong with your computer, so I would not suggest you reinstall SAMP or GTA SA!

Good Luck & Happy Gaming!
Regards,
DellStorm

When adding value gets you worse off than you were before, due to a hidden agenda against you, its time to quit. Then remember why you quit in the first place.

If you leave your router on all the time when it is not being used, you are asking for trouble.

It can overheat, etc.

Turn it off when its not in use, also try switching off the router for at least one minute before turning it on again.

Usually works, hope this helps

Thanks guy, but as I've said, I live in a building where we share the internet and somewhere in he building is the main router, probably at the guy that runs the administration's house.

I already send him an email about the malfunctions and I recieved a reply from him, in Dutch ofcourse, so I'll translate it.

"Hi Max

Good that you mention it, then I might do something. It is however difficult.

Lag in games is often due to a congested Internet (if the computer is fast enough for the game). Something that the network is responsible for much downloading torrents and the like. If someone is doing that on our network that can lay a lot of games like worse. Hence the rule not to download during peak hours to do. I would possibly be able to tighten the restrictions on downloading - maybe that helps. Which hours are you gaming, and if you have the most trouble was?

Greetings,

Jens"

Don't know if that answer clears up anything for you.
