disconnect

So since i upgraded to 0.3c, every 5 minutes i disconnect and it says the server is un-available. It then takes about 3 minutes for it to recognize the server is back. even if i restart SA:MP. My other internet based programs run fine when this happens. However Teamspeak someties goes down at the same time, for the same time period.


Any ideas whats up?

Same is happening to me safety moose and it starting to bug me D: i want to be able to play without problems i highly don't think it is the same isp we are on

ya it cant be the ISP since its happening to other people. Is is just doing it for Argo for you Martin?

I'm from Brazil, and I have the exact same problem. Sometimes I can even play for 30 minutes, and sometimes I spend more time waiting for it to reconnect than playing. Everything but me stops for like 10 seconds(Nobody moves, no messages in any chat etc.), and then I return to the starting screen and get the following messages:



Generally I get the "The server didn't respond. Retrying.." every 6 seconds from up to 3 minutes, and it returns like if I just logged in.
*It jumped from 10:32 to 12:56 because I paused the game while I was waiting.

EDIT: I noticed the same happens on Argonath Stunt. When I crash on RPG, I try to join it and get the same messages. Other servers work normally. I'm pretty sure everyone who has this problem loses connection at the same time, also.

Ya exact same thing as Martin and I. Anyone know why? It makes the game almost un-playable....

I think we should post something about it on SA:MP General. I know that there is already this forum for that kind of issue, but many more people will read it there, so the problem will probably be solved faster.

what is weird is it started once we moved to 0.3c maybe one of the argonath developers screwed up on something i see it either has to be with the server cause it don't happen with other servers just argonath rpg i may go onto the stunt server tomorrow and see if i get the same issue same with the Argonath sister dm server

Games have something called a "grace period." It is the time which a client can be disconnected from the server without the connection being dropped. It seems to be that Argonath has shortened this grace period which causes people to be dropped by the server more often.

Same here. Usually when i play  the chat lags and it shows up after like.. 10 seconds and people tp around.. After that i relog and i get the same message trying to connect on server..
Annoying me like hell cant' even play!

it pisses me off to play argo atm i am trying to get my officer badge reinstated and i cant be active cause of the server


Is this Grace period thing fixable by owners and or developers?

It appears that I only have this problem on Argo which means they set the grace period themselves which means they can undo their changes.
