I say if Jcs is allowed to be "racist, discriminating and ignorant", we should all do that too; he's an admin so it must be allowed! Oh, and I'm thinking of starting a white pride group: basically my character hates African-American and Mexican folks, but in reality I love black people or spics.
Is that allowed or do I have to go through a rough patch of being an admin?
Just in order to stay on topic: 'noob, newbie, idiot, shut it, shut up' shouldn't even be seen as impertinent; solely weak and fragile people consider it offensive.

Throwing insults at someone in a roleplay situation is fine in my book. If I insult someone in a roleplay and they report me - Never roleplay with that guy again.

Too bad we got retards here that can't tell the differance between a roleplay insult and a real one. And thus we have to restrict it for roleplay scenarios aswell.

Any form of communication used in a way to insult and defame one another. These boundaries are at a transparent opacity when in roleplay situations but when one feels the need to insult another, he/she should simple quit the game till he/she is calm and is ready to participate again. There is also a difference between a roleplay insult and an insult to actually insult another. When roleplaying, one could be roleplaying and insulting in ways such as:

Player 1 shouts: YOU SUCK AT SHOOTING, COPS!
Player 2 shouts: COME AT ME BRO!
Cop 1 shouts: Give up or else your brain matter will be on the floor!

You see, simply, one can insult another in a roleplay environment but not cause any official offending. But when not in the roleplay or in a situation such as:

Player 1: Player X is a fag and cannot roleplay. He also sucks penises at shooting!
Player 2: Yeah, Player X just simply sucks
Player X:

There has to be a limit to insulting in an roleplay environment versus in overall communication. That's my definition.

Anyone with half a brain should be able to tell the difference between a friendly roleplay "insult" (i.e: "Die, you illegal mexican scum!" to a drug lord with a fat mexican skin, roleplaying a fat mexican, who he is roleplaying a hostile encounter with) and a blatant personal attack (i.e: "You fucking orange dot noob, you deserve to die!). While the examples I gave here hail from different specific situations, anyone with common sense can easily distinguish the two.

Ex.

and so on....

  My definition of flaming:
  Something said to personally attack or offend a player or group.

  Also, I consider provoking to be anything said to incite or provoke flaming from another player or group.


  I do not consider people being rude or having a verbal stab at someones ingame character to be flame. E.g. "Ah crap it's a fat mexican!" would not be flame if they actually have a fat Mexican skin.

  When a communist party RP group popped up, I temporarily set up a "Dictatorship Party" which basically spread lies and propaganda. Oh and we took over Montgomery and renamed it to "Jcstodds Land". Cops did not quite agree with my dictatorship ways though.

  I think you missed my point. But technically neither of the above is flaming, or against the rules, as long as you don't offend anyone. If players find it offensive, then don't do it, it will be considered flaming. My RP character is funny, no one minds because I spend half my time taking the piss out of myself. They know I am not serious. Also I do not just do it randomly, I will make stereotypical, topical jokes. Not just random insulting - that is not funny or good RP.

There's no OOC and IC on Argonath - therefore there are no "characters" but players - enforced by admins for more than an year I believe...
Try saying "Fuck you" in local chat nearby an admin and see what happens to you... (btw, don't log in on your admin account cos admins are allowed to do it).

I've been kicked few times by admins who was just passing by and saw some insultive words in local chat.
