It's not because someone's an idiot, he'll be addicted. Some idiots won't be addicted and some random ordinary guy will become addicted. How? Because everyone is different when it comes to your own body. Someone can break down an overdose of alcohol, others won't.
If your body adapts to the marijuana pretty quickly, count on it that you WILL get addicted.

The average weedhead isn't dependant on weed. Drinking alcohol doesn't automatically make you an alcoholic.

... But alcohol and marijuana are not the same products and do not get broken down the same in your body. I Believe that Marijuana asks more energy from your body than alcohol.
However I think from personal opinion that Alcohol is more addicting than marijuana, as Alcohol will become dependent from your body whilst marijuana is more giving you an effect in your brains. Of course it also has bad sides, such as the smoke, the abusage and high consumption like alcohol, but in the end, I think it's alcohol that will be the hardest to kick down from.

How you gonna tell people who smoke weed they are addicted? I mean shit, I have a strong desire to smoke it because I like gettin' high, but I can go a little bit without it, nothing bad, I just really wanna get stoned though, and I'll have money so I buy some.

Alcohol is addicting, weed isn't. I continue to drink even after I end up puking and shit, no bad shit ever happens on weed.

I'd call someone addicted if you for example sweat quite heavily from your hands, or all over your body, or if you can't eat or have fun without the drug, or when you're jailed and are almost about to take suicide because you want marijuana so badly. I'd call that addiction. Real life experiences from close persons using marijuana as their ONLY drug.

What's with the "drugs are for those with problems" thing?
I have absolutely no problems and the only times when I smoke is just when I have finished a project that cost me several nights without sleeping.

- Sound - Not sure on this one, but there is probably something.
- Balanced food - Any food can give you cancer in some ways.
- The right source(s) of energy - You need food / something to drink to get Energy, unless you are God.
- Recreative sport - You need water and something to eat for sport. Cancer.
- Meditation -  You need to breath the "fresh" air.
- Sleep - You need to breath the "fresh" air.
- Sexual intercourse (unless your partner suffers from any additional deseases) - The bacterias you are getting on your wiener may bring cancer.
- Nature - The air all over the world may give you cancer due to our lovely climate we take very good care off.
- Pets - Animals usually have other bacterias which can give you cancer.
- Feeling relaxed -  You need to breath the "fresh" air.

Ok.
  Remember salt, oh, nevermind. Gives you cancer.

What I Didn't mention in addition to this post here, Air pollution does not increase your chances on getting cancer.
Example If you live in a polluted city such as Capitals, It is high likely that your body adapts to your environment and raises the Super-Oxyd-Dismutase, that will protect you from the air and many other things. This however when your body is in a good condition, adaptations ask more energy, it's highly recommended to eat more food containing nutrients.

So basicly, in theory, People living on the countryside are more vulnerable to air pollution than those living in the city, because the body is used to it and adapts itself to the environment, Explains why Air Pollution is not a direct source of cancer!
