A vote or election might not work as efficiently as we'd like it to, mainly because:

• At least five people are trying to claim the position
• Opinions are looking a little divided concerning who should claim the position and what the criteria of eligilibility is

My idea is to modify the CMB structure. In my opinion, the current structure looks somewhat bulky and confusing, mainly because of "Administrators" being placed at a lower rank of "Director" and then not having a group for testers and such.

Test Proctors should be recognized on the topic as CMB members. Proctors are the people who give the examination, and the player's results along with any additional notes deemed necessary to determining the player's ability to be a proper citizen, will be passed to a...

Grading Committee
A grading committee simply consists of any two or more members of the CMB that will oversee the test results and notes to determine whether or not the player will be accepted as a citizen. Having one person grading the tests could lead to bias and human error.

Board of Directors
A committee consisting of an odd number of players, preferably part of different groups and clans (including independents), which will vote on issues involving the operation of the CMB including the format of the citizenship test, induction and removal of employees and, in the event of a unanimous vote, changing the structure of the CMB itself.

Board of Chiefs
A small group of people which will oversee and lead the operation of the CMB as a whole. This is a subset of the Board of Directors.

Trial Members will be a subset of every group listed above. They will be observed by the Board of Directors and at least one member of whatever group they are trialing in for several days to a week.

We should then start by inducting three or five people into the Board of Directors, who will then operate solely for the purpose of creating a test format and then inducting members into the lower groups. The Board of Chiefs will remain empty until the rest of the CMB is running smoothly; that's when the Board of Directors will start voting for members to be promoted to the Board of Chiefs.

By having more than one person as a director and establishing it as a board, there is less conflict, less superiority over other directors, and makes choosing its initial members easier, whether it be by administrative decision or public election.

Keep in mind that this is just an idea of mine.

The situation is more f*cked up if there is more than 1 member in such position, it's better to have 1 good CMB instead of 10 from which only 1 is a good one and rest were chosen just to take up the spaces.

In my opinon a voting will need to start, and only one person could be the elected one. However, after a month, someone could make a case about electing new CMB as long as the one who makes the case has at least 10 petitioners. Then the voting could start again if the reasons given are good, like imagine Pumba becomes a CMB by spelling mistake, then someone like me makes a case about changing the CMB, 10 ppl approve and the case can be started, then someone higher liek Klaus/Daddy decide if the voting should be started again

Even if we do get a director in position, we still need to worry about writing the test, finding test proctors, and (possibly) finding administrators to help oversee the CMB's operation. Can we at least get some applications going so there'll be applicants once the admins and director come into power?

I think we should have a real simple structure, because VCMP has less players to fill all the positions.

So i recommend a structure like:

CMB Director
Duties:
-Recruits CMB Admins.
-Creates a set of questions to be asked from immigrants before handing out passports.
-Final decision in case of any big changes

CMB Co-Director:
Has same powers as Director.....takes over the CMB, in case the director turns out to be an inactive fag.

CMB Admins:
-Conducts test and hand out passports.
-Can add more questions in the "CMB Question Bank", but need permission of director to do that.

Should also be a succession for admins in case both directors turn out to be inactive fags like the last CMB. :roll:

Nice app, but you forgot that this isn't the actual CMB topic and that the CMB is presently empty. Matter of fact, this topic is discussing restoring the CMB and getting some people in power.

About the set of questions, remember MOST of our players play only VCMP, meaning the questions itself should be about our VCMP server, not only about Argonath (but of course don't forget about it too)
