There is a big misunderstanding. Nothing was approved as LCPD subdivision. The only present one is NOOSE. You can keep Private Investigation but as private organization as it names says and with different ranks from the writen above. Of course, it is not only us who choose, you should have the approval from FBI, too, which is dealing with such cases. Again, P.I. cannot be sub of LCPD!

I think you should if you want to join FBI. I am not sure that they will allow someone from FBI to run his own investigation organization.
