I was wondering, why isn't the SAMP server on the "Hosted" list anymore? I remember it used to be on "Official" on 0.2X. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be playing the server at all. So why aren't we on the hosted tab?

This isn't a recommendation I just wanted to know why..

I don't think it really matters. People still join (obviously), and if people want a new server to play on they generally go for ones with a lot of players and few spelling mistakes in the title.

Hosted servers are those who use certain host service and pay to be on that list. Nothing to do with MTA.

To be on the "hosted" tab you have to pay a monthly amount to the provider of that list. Everyone who pays gets on there. If you host your server at the company collectingthe payments you get a discount. The money is divided between the company and Kyeman, with the company getting the largest part...

In our view there is a big difference between servers being chosen and people paying to be on a shorter list. Also looking as the high number of empty servers on there, we sincerely doubt that all have paid this, and probably they are given a free listing to fill the list more.

So in summary, the hosted list is far from what the official list was, and while we are not against supporting SAMP, we are not fond of this system.
