LulzSec and Anonymous hate each other.
And I hope that Anonymous will succeed in vanishing Facebook, it is getting annoying as hell.
And I have indeed heard that Facebook is selling our private information.

Yeah, I mean the fact we can't even delete our accounts is a some what suspicious predicament.

You can delete accounts, but the page to do so is hidden.

It doesn't exactly delete your account. It basically, in a sense, just suspends it. You can easily regenerate it though as Facebook still stores ALL the information pertaining to your account should you decide to try and "delete" it.

No, that's the perm-deletion page. You need to stay off your account for two weeks and the account is purged and can't be restored. Whether or not Facebook still saves that data anyways, who knows, but I haven't seen anything hinting that they do after deleting.

Because they're going to tell you that they're going to keep your information after you believe you have supposedly permanently deleted your account.

And of course they're going to profit off of it even though there's absolutely no activity on it that advertisers could use to target ads at you. By the way, even LulzSec says it can't be hacked; there's absolutely NO remote access to their servers, and a DDoS certainly isn't any good.

In my opinion, only 1% of Anonymous actually understand what the point of the Anonymous philosophy is. The remaining 99 percent just want to use scripts and other DDoS tools for "the lol" or for completely retarded reasons. This video perfectly shows how stupid they are.

Facebook will never die, the most they can do to it is take down the servers for a maximum of what.. an hour?

The following is a quote from their press release regarding facebook: When a service is "free," it really means they're making money off of you and your information.'.

Guess what? Most free services make money off you. That's been the model of free services ever since they appeared. If they didn't make money, they simply wouldn't exist. Even Argonath makes money off you when you click on the ads, even though this is just to support the server costs.. They need to stop smoking whatever they're smoking and come back to real life (assuming they have real lives).

Because they're going to tell you that they're going to keep your information after you believe you have supposedly permanently deleted your account.
Yeah, they really, really care about your information and they're going to use it to stalk you for the rest of your life. You're so special.

And of course they're going to profit off of it even though there's absolutely no activity on it that advertisers could use to target ads at you.
Do you really care? All businesses are in it for the profit. Don't like it? Don't sign up.

It will die as soon as someone else comes with a better idiot-fishing idea.

Indeed they are going to use it for the rest of his life, to keep sending him advertisements in any means possible. :D

Anyway, I don't know if they would really bring it down. Don't be sure, but don't underestimate either.

Perhaps, but it won't die because of a hack attempt.

Who cares? People will just move on the next social network. Like two years ago MySpace was more popular and used more. Then, everyone moved to Facebook.

Personally I've never been a fan of myspace. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about it is a red-blue flashing gif background and a laggy music player

Social networks will always exist, and there will just come more and more.
