The people who build these things are highschool educated and dont have a degree in structural Engineering. their job is to assemble the structure and thats it. I dont think they should get the blame for doing their job.

Are you kidding me? That structure is industrial, there's no way some students would assemble a stage like that without professional help.

Where must we go... we who wander this Wasteland in search of our better selves?

I dont think it was the contractors fault or maybe a little bit, but did you notice that f**king wind?
So you're implying that poor assembly had nothing to do with it?

I'm not completely saying that, but the wind played a part.

Wind could be predicted by forecasts. It wasn't predicted and that only shows that there were no safety measures taken and irresponsibility by hosts. The construction itself fell off like cardboard by a wind.

The base construction is not unsafe, the placement and closing the construction by huge sails made it vulnerable.
The main thing is that the location of such a construction plays a huge role in possible safety issues.
Build it inside a football stadium and it can stand with a lot of wind. Put the same on an open plain, maybe enhanced by a natural funnel and it goes down.
the simple fact that it was videotaped shows that it was probably already rattling, which leaves blame on the orginaizers for not securing the area in time.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

It was 70 mph winds... I mean what could knock a bunch of things over that aren't meant to withstand the force of that wind.

By law in the United States, any building constructed must follow strict building codes and be inspected prior to use or inhabitance. If this building was properly built, it would have far succeeded the expectations of the weather. Most buildings these days can handle a low-grade hurricane or tornado, and fairly strong earthquakes too. This was obviously just built badly to begin with, and likely didn't even have an inspector check it before it's usage in the event. Regardless of the situation, at winds that high, the concert should not only have been cancelled, but with that building swaying so much, the area should have been evacuated immediately due to imminent danger of collapse. Those five deaths could have easily been prevented if those money-hungry bastards pulled their heads out of their asses and refunded people's tickets due to safety concerns. There is no excuse for this. The owners were just too greedy to call the event off.

And like always women makes it sound/look ten times worse by screaming. Sad happening though, RIP.

Don't be sexist. People were screaming because they should have been. What do you expect them to do? Laugh? Five people died and over 40 were injured.

Still I stick with what I said and afterall I simply said what I thought about it all. You deserve a slap for giving such ridiculous and idiotic example though, obviously I wouldn't expect people to laugh but clearly it was running through your thoughts.

It was an example to show how ridiculous your comment was saying that women automatically make a situation worse by screaming. Common sense says when people die, those surviving will scream at the sight. It also says that generalizing women is highly offensive, and you shouldn't do it.
