Budget will be the 1TB then, if you want quality, SSD. A good one.

Only a lil tiny bit  :D

Corsair 120GB SSD, Force GT - 555mb/s read, 515mb/s write

 :evil:

markab, which program do you use to test HD read/write rates?

EDIT: Awwwwww, you beat me to writing the specs D:

What does your SSD get in the windows experience index?  :D

It's a old SSD, 450mb/s read and 400mb/s write... Not bad.

I'm taking it with nothing because I haven't got any software, just checked the box :D

I have a lenovo s205 with e300 apu, 4gb ram etc.

Would a SSD really benefit it, or am I better off spending the money on buying an SSD for my main PC instead? :\

Yes, it will work on a notebook but it will only increase the writing/loading speed, and on a notebook you won't need it. Also, a SSD isn't that big, mine is around the 130, and is just big enough to have my Windows and GTA on it, so...

I'm sure you'll have more fun off it in your normal PC.

What I would do is install the OS on the SSD and the files on the TB.

Indeed, although it would be nice to get a big SSD so the 1TB was just a backup :3

I could name it 'Data'

My HD runs at 100mb/s maximum really

100mb/s x 2 = 200mb/s

SSD = 500mb/s
