If you guys download stuff it downloads like 100 mb per second? that means it'll take you few minutes to download few GB file?

It's measured in megabits, not megabytes. To give an idea, there are 2 bits to a byte. Also, internet companies very commonly throttle your speed, so the amount you pay for is actually not what you get. It's just the max you can.

It depends on distance+spec etc but recently took me around 4min to D/L 2.4GB files with max 10MByte/sec
