Hello, an admin tdannounced the following message few minutes ago:

This shocked and confused allot people as it wasn't explained so well and it seems something new. The question "even if you have RP reason?" was asked but without an answer, so I decided to ask the administration here if this is truly a new rule or if it is another of those "player-made" rules.
Please let us know

When you knife kill someone from the back and slice their throat it's just a regular kill as any other. You all know the rules, if you have a reason you are allowed to kill the player.

I have never heard about this rule, a made up one? The knife killing via the throat is a game mechanic from SP and can't be changed.

I thought it was a new sex position.

In all seriousness, I think the admin meant doing it for no reason is DM.

As far as i recall, ALL killing has to be done with a VALID RolePlay reason.

So for example, In a hostage situation, you have taken a hostage and orderd cops not to come closer, yet they do.
As you warned the cops, and its with a valid RP reason, you may slice his throat, don't exept cops to ignore thou.

As i think the meaning of this particual announcement is to make sure, that of you go up to someone randomly, and slice his throat; is, was, and always will be classed as DeathMatching.

Asfar as i'm aware, theres no 'new' rule stated on this subject, apart from the old "Don't DM people" rule.

If i'm mistaken, feel free to correct me.

Thanks for the reply, yes we know the rules and I do understand but this announcement implied that even if you have a RP reason you shouldn't do it since this action is considered as DM and that's why I made this topic to hear your opinions and clear this up to avoid confusions and wrong punishments

That announcement screenshot seems awfully out of context.

The weapon does not determine if it was deathmatch or not

Play for fun and friendship, not for stats or achievements.
If you do not want to roleplay, log off. Remember that "do not force RP" does NOT mean you can refuse to interact with other players.

It is not deathmatching. Only the reason for the kill can determine wether or not it is deathmatching. As mentioned by Grz, the weapon used does not matter.

I can understand why someone would think this, since whenever someone is killed like this, 9/10 times a report for deathmatch follows. Obviously not all of them turn out to be deathmatching. We will simply have to remind the admin in question about this.
