IDEA: Mafia II Multiplayer Argonath RPG Server

Hey guys, i think there is just a perfect thing i have found for Argonath: http://m2-multiplayer.com/

Since Mafia II is realistic, i think it would fit perfectly the needs of Argonath RPG.
I think it would be a nice idea to create Argonath RPG server for it when it comes out.
If developers would approve this idea i could try to learn M2:MP code and try do develop one for us!

Say do you support this or not, and add reason why

This is exactly what im thinking.
I mean Mafia II is the most realistic sandbox out there (i mean suitable for RPG like Argonath)

anyways i agree it would be nice to have a server, but im pretty sure the m2 multiplayer scripters are just scammers, but we shall see

they asked for *donations* saying else project will be closed. Sure people pay from their own will, but i still think its scamming (I don't think scripting is something you need to spend cash on...) maybe scamming is not the right word, blackmailing is 'pay us or we close project noobs'

And well, maybe those money are required so they could host the servers i dont know.. ;d

This will not even be released I guess.

1. how can you compare IV to mafia 2
2. mafia 2 has better optimilisation than IV, thus it has 'better' pc requirements
3. its unknown if synch will be better than IVMP
4.let me remind you M2 is set in 40s/50s

If this is the same set of developers who worked on a multiplayer for the first Mafia game, I am not holding my breath.
However if they manage to bring it out, we will certainly consider it.

BTW, considering Mafia 1 Development, these guys recently has posted some updates, also they put a poll if they should make it open source or not.

Also , there are two Mafia II:MP developers, which develops two different clients, if any of them happens to be the same than Mafia 1, we can always look forward for the another!

IV:MP's sync= please... No car damage, no Y Z shooting coordinates, you cant shoot anyone above or bellow than you are...

It is, from what i seen from the developer diaries.

Which would be something new, as i said, if they will release it, i might try to get hang of the code and try to develop Argonath RPG, but there is still a big question mark, because:

1. Will any of these be released?
2. Which one will be better?
4. How easy the code will be?
5. If sync will be same as IV:MP, i dont think it will be worth it...
