Sheniz Erkan - R.I.P.

Sheniz Erkan, a teenage girl who was bullied and gave her life because of it. Yet again, another teenager falls a victim to bullying. No information has yet been show, but it is on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and such. On the Facebook page, it shows her friends showing their respect.

Bullying can't be stopped, trying to stop it is futile. People should learn to fight bullies instead. Toe to toe is not even necessary. You can wipe out others with a couple of words, as seen in the example. Counter-bully.

That's because it never occurs to people's minds that something could be so serious that person can take their life away. Then after it happens, they are all sorry and stuff, well sorry does not necessarily make anything better. People like that should not even deserve to live, when they cross a limit that far.

Some kids in high school experience more pain and drama than grown adults who have lived through a lifetime of it. This world has become a horrible place.

No matter what your parents say, they don't have a clue on how bad it is, or experienced the same things. The general world was not anywhere near are mean or cruel compared to now, nor was it as dangerous or inhumane. I've heard people's parents say it time and again, yet very few have a clue of how stressful this world has become for those at such a young age. Some kids have a great time in high school and may not understand this, but for many, it's a horrible place that I think we can all agree many would wish to put behind themselves if they survive it.

Not true. Some people are stronger than others. Some just can't take the pain and anguish of being tortured mentally for years at a time. In fact, most teenagers put into this position VERY commonly consider suicide as an option. It's an unfortunate fact, and bullying is proven to be one of the biggest causes for teens to kill themselves in this world. Even for those that don't, many grow up with mental or emotional issues caused by it, and some others are even hospitalized in a mental institution over it. Bullying can be scarring to some.

Suicide beackose of that crappy reason is MENTALLY ILL!

Those who are bullied are not mentally ill. It's those that bully others who have the true emotional problems. They bring others down to their level of pain, and THAT is being mentally ill. Those who are victims are just those that wish to not be in pain anymore. That is a natural emotion to not want pain. That's why pain is uncomfortable.

But listen she was too emotional. Being too emotional actually is being mentally ill! When a person shows less emotions than normal than it is mentally ill. When a person is too emotional than it is also mentally ill.

It doesn't matter where the bullying is happening. It's still happening. Someone shouldn't have to delete their own account just to feel safe or not be put down for their own faults in their personal lives that should not be made public or used against them.

She was not being too emotional. She probably tried to ignore it, or even stop it. She probably told the person to leave her alone. The person bullying her did not care...that's why they were bullying her in the first place. There's a reason why we have rules against flaming in this community, just like every other community just about does. It's not JUST to prevent conflict. It's also to prevent bullying.

Being too emotional is not at all being mentally ill. Say your wife of over 50 years just died in a car accident in front of you that was your fault because you were DUI'ing after she begged you to not, and you told her everything would be okay just before the accident. Imagine the kind of pain you would be in...knowing that it's your fault the closest person in the world to you died because of your stupid mistake. You would want to kill yourself, not going on without her, or with living the rest of your life with the pain of knowing you did such a thing to someone you loved so dearly. That kind of pain, for different reasons, is what this girl felt. She felt there was no other way out of the situation but to stop the pain the only way she thought she could. That was a mistake on her part, yes, but in her mind at the time, alternatives were not an option. She just wanted the pain to go away. No matter the example provided, anyone in that kind of situation, under that amount of pain, might not think twice about other options when wanting to commit suicide. That's why there is a such thing as the Suicide Hotline. Wanting to kill yourself is not being mentally ill...it's being so emotional that you are clouding your judgement. Love has the same effect on people as pain does. It can cloud your judgement too, if too great for you to handle.
