Bring back the Politics & Religion section.

I know they were forbidden in any form on the forums, but my question is why? Because some immature kids tried to act cool on the internet, offending others' views? Why not bring back the section(Maybe just leave Religion or Politics) and make rules that will be enforced? A few main rules:

Respect others' oppinions if they do not offend you.
Do not cross the line by flaming/offending a given religion/different views on Politics.
Leave the No Nazism rule in force.
If you disagree with someone, don't just go "OMG GTFO fuck you, your opinion sucks", tell them why you think so...
Do not speak against a given country(Except if it's an opinion on yours)

Why bring it back again?

People willing to learn about a different Religion can post a topic with their questions
Let's say you are a Christian RPing a Muslim, you can check trough the topics, improving your character.
Have a school project for a given Country/Religion? You can use the section to learn more about it, given by people representing it.
News can once again be posted on forums, keeping people in track with current affair around the world.

If there is a reason behind the closing except the excessive arguments and flamings in most of the topics, can I know what they are?

I'm sure there would be mixed reactions if that part of the forums was brought back.
Most topics, however sensitive, can generally be discussed in a suitable manner by a mature group.

However, Argonath RPG is fairly diverse and age ranges, nationalities, beliefs all vary.

Bringing it back may cause more problems in the long run than solutions.
Certain rules would have to remain in force, as you said, but then people may question why those rules remain when others have become liberalised.
There's no right point to draw the line, but maybe such a discussion is not really suitable within this community's environment.

Yes, bring it back please and don't start "omg u seen posts there! omfg so much against rules". If that section ever head decent moderation team and strciter rules there would be no problems.

So,

Bring it back with this:

• VERY STRICT rules and punishments
• Dedicated forum moderation team for that section

If needed I myself will make strict list of rules and punishments. But watch it, Im very strict.

The last time the politics and religons section got out of control was due to lack of moderatorship.

If there can be like 5-6 new moderators for the region, it can be a amazing section.

Why not bring back the Kill-zone again instead?

I remember that section being great to see the true faces of people so admins would know who should be watched abit more due to flaming behaviour.

Oh and I also had an great laugh at the people fighting in there, so ridicilous.

I think a major re-work would be required, and the community would need to consider reinstating an official and fully able Forum Admin Team.

I would like to see the return of this board also. There was some good, heated intellectual debate in there, however there would be those who liked to ruin it.
