I am pleased to announce the new moderators whose applications have been accepted. These guys have shown respect for the rules, have remained active and have shown that they have a genuine interest in helping others either by offering advice or encouraging positive role-play.
We have had a great bunch of applicants and it has not been easy to make this selection, if you have not been selected it is probably not because we don't want you with us but just because we had to keep the numbers to a manageable level. We have had to use a variety of factors to make our decision and for many of you not successful this time around it was probably something minor that excluded you on this occasion such as activity. We hope you apply again in the future and there are quite a lot of you who we have noticed and are interested in recruiting in the future.

Although the first wave is expected to begin recruitment from tomorrow onwards, this is dependent on the server status so it may start a little later. Can all successful candidates please add me on MSN, you will find this on my forum profile; once added or if you're already on my list send me one message telling me your in-game name so I can make that your MSN nick.
You will also need to install TeamSpeak 3 and get set up there; orientation and training on TeamSpeak is considerably easier for everyone and all staff meetings are held there; you do not need to be able to speak and you will find instructions to set it up
here.
Before orientation begins you should all read the
SA:MP Moderators Guide, it needs an update obviously but it will stand you in good stead.
You should also read the
Changes to the Way Admins and Moderators Work as this contains essential new information you need to know about your role.
Check the date that your recruitment will begin from, you do not necessarily need to be online on that particular date but you will need to be around at that time as it will be from that date onwards. If you cannot be around at that time, let me know so I can change your recruitment date. Naturally if everyone in wave 2 and 3 contacts me asking to go in wave 1 I am going to be pissed off, so only if you absolutely cannot be around at that time.
Keep in mind you are now a milestone for Argonath, you will be spearheading a new approach with the way we work and interact with the community and you have been selected for that precise reason, because we believe it is a job you will be great at.

There are some other moderators we believe could make great admins but unfortunately they had to be inactive for a while for various reasons during their evaluation which meant we were unable to make a proper decision about them so they will stay on as moderators for now.
What happens now?
Bugger all as I'm knackered and need a break, but from the time the server goes back up we are all systems go! I will be trying to get a few of you into orientation at the same time, please help me with that by waiting around if you have to. We will get the first wave, and the new admins, into place as soon as we can; the current team is hungry and they need feeding!
