There would be alot more to it than that, it wouldnt ruin the roleplay either.
Yeah, like weedfields or w/e production. The management of weed fields to produce more, that would add a strategy not even existant in Singleplayer.
And weed missions to get wed, the icecream van to sell it on the streets. cops busting people for drug possesion, more importance to bribes to keep the drugs instead of losing them.
Maybe health recovery with drugs, if they took those health icons of the game -.-
etc...

I would like to have scripted drugs that ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING, like regen hp. What I don't like about old style rp drugs is that you use your money to buy "drugs" then your like "Oh kool I have drugs" (which you can't do anything with). Everything else you pay for can be used such as Taxi, property, Hitman, Weapons, etc but drugs are just something that you have atm. I think smoking giving you regen is a very good idea.

Oh lol I thought of another idea, similar. Drugs can give you HP regen but what about that instant hit of HP that you somethimes need O_o. Well, you could make it so when you buy things like food such as pizza and donuts, you can keep then in stock (till you die or leave server) and when you need some hp, you type !eat and you get some hp. This I like because then you ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING with pizza, unlike before where people bought pizza and are like, "/me is eating pizza, yummmm ^^".

You could make it like each type of food is worth different units like this:
Donut = 1
Pizza = 5
Soft Drink = 2
Beer = 2
Hotdog = 3

And you can use !food command to check your food:
Player: !food
*PM You are carrying 8 units of food.

Then say each unit of food could be 5hp so if you want to regen only 30 hp you use !eat x:
Player: !eat 6
*PM You eat 6 units of food. You gain 30hp.

Just /me'ing things is fun, but scripting them is much better. Moreover, when you use !eat command, you can also say "/me eats pizza" if you really wanted to ^^.

And for those of you who say scripting such things ruins RP, NO IT DOESN'T! It integrates it more into the game, besides, I'm sure more people would want to buy food and drugs if they actually gave you hp ^^. Customer gets hp, Dealer gets more customers, everyone is happy, what exactly is being "ruined" here = ="?

Oh kool, I though of another idea:
Say you want to sell food/drugs but you don't want to spend $50 000 on a shop or stock. Easy, go to pizza store, buy maybe $500 worth of pizza. Now you can go to random people in VC and you could do this (Player1 is guy who bought a lot of food, Player2 random player he found):
Player1: You want to buy some food,  I got a lot?
Player2: How much?
Player1: $20 each unit.
Player2: I'll have 5 units please.
Player2: !send Player1 $100
Player1: !sendfood Player2 5
Player2: Thnx ^^
Player1: np
*Player1 goes searching for more random players...

Same things can be done with drugs. But obviously, if you want to make a profit, you sell the food for more than you bought it ^^. That way buyers decide if they would take the time to go all the way to the nearest food store, or simply buy it off some random for a little more money ;).

By having such a system, you are introducing new ways for people to RP which were not possible with old scripts (especially in MTA) ^^.

this will bring about price rise to the server if every1 sells food for profit
and also we have the /me command for begging for food :)

I think to avoid people running away without paying or people paying then seller runs away, you could make it like this:
Seller: You want to buy some food,  I got a lot?
Buyer: How much?
Seller: $20 each unit.
Buyer: I'll have 5 units please.
Seller: !sellfood Buyer 5 100
*PM To Seller: You have requested to sell you 5 units of food to Buyer for $100, awaiting response...
*PM To Buyer: Seller has requested to sell you 5 units of food to you for $100, type <!yesfood Seller> to accept or <!nofood Seller> to decline.
Buyer: !yesfood Seller
*PM To Buyer: You have bougth 5 units of food from Seller for $100.
*PM To Seller: Buyer has bougth 5 units of food off you for $100.
Buyer: Thnx ^^
Seller: np
*Seller goes searching for more random players...

If Seller does not respond within 20 seconds, the <!sellfood Buyer 5 100> request automatically does <!nofood Seller>.

If a player wants to send another player food but for free, then you would do this:
John: Hey you got some spare food?
Pete: !sellfood John 5 0
*PM To Pete: You have requested to sell you 5 units of food to John for $0, awaiting response...
*PM To John: Pete has requested to sell you 5 units of food to you for $0, type <!yesfood Pete> to accept or <!nofood Pete> to decline.
John: !yesfood Pete
*PM To John: You have bougth 5 units of food from Pete for $0.
*PM To Pete: John has bougth 5 units of food off you for $0.
John: k thnx

What if drugs gave you instant health but if you use them too much, you will get addicted and will start to slowly loose health if you don't take drugs again.
That drugs darkside could be a cool educational tool.

Yeah, thats a good idea, we need to keep it realistic, having too much drugs should have a negative effect.

PiMP, you just made me remember something. In an old Duke Nukem game, when you get the drug pickup, you get max hp but your hp slowly goes back to what it originally was. That means if you were in a fight with low hp, you could take a hit of drugs and keep fighting till your hp starts getting back to low again then run off to buy food instead of using about 18 units of food ^^.

Oh yea to make it realistic, you should not be able to keep on eating. Oh heres an idea, make it like WoW. To eat you cannot move, you must stand still and to eat each unit of food it takes 5 seconds (1 unit of food regens 5 hp), regening 1 hp every second. So if you were on 10hp, you would have to eat 18 units of food (to get max health) which would take 90 seconds. However if you move while eating, you automatically cancel the eating.

This way it won't be like on dm servers where people run around fighting then quickly hide then type !heal when there a bit low. This way they would have to stand still which means they cannot be near anyone trying to kill them :)

We could have different affects for different drugs for example (forgive my misspelling of drug names):

Marajuana: Constant regen of up to (100 - originalhp). After you have gained (100 - originalhp), hp goes back to original value gradually. I say (100 - originalhp) intead of just untill you get to 100hp becuase otherwise if you were being attacked, that means you can constantly regen as long as the other player attacks you before you hit 100hp. If while a player is lose hp to get back to orignial but is attacked and gets under original hp, the negative regen stops.
example of Mara...
Player has 50 hp
Player smokes
Player begins to regen
Player regens up (100 - originalhp)
Player begins to lose hp gradually to get to original

Extesy: Instant hit of about 20 hp but after a while, gradually lose up to (20 + 5*1). If you take another pill while still regening, you will reduce up to (20 + 5*2). The basic formula is ([HP LOST BY NEGATIVE REGEN]=20 + 5*[AMOUNT OF PILLS TAKEN DURING REGEN]).
example of Ex...
Player has 50 hp
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 70hp)
Player begins to lose hp gradually lose up to (20 + 5*1) which gets him/her to 45hp

example of constant Ex...
Player has 10 hp
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 30hp)
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 50hp)
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 70hp)
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 90hp)
Player takes pill
Player gains 20hp (now 100hp)
Player begins to lose hp gradually lose up to (20 + 5*5 = 45) and as 10hp - 45hp is less than zero (-35hp), this means he/she will die due to negative regen if he does not get atleast 36hp from another source such as food/paramedic/pickup/etc.

The main points are below:
-Food regens gradually hp with no negative effect but must stand still to eat.
-Extesy gives instant hits of hp but makes you lose hp over time, losing more hp the more pills you take.
-Marajuana gives you regen but you can move or fight while regening (unlike food) but you grdually lose hp once positive regen is over.

I'll add this is too
-Taking Marajuana constantly just increases the rate of your positive and negative regen, it does not change to amount you gain/lose.

Oh i just though of another idea, ill go make a topic on it now, it's related to storing your food/drugs at places you own ^^.

Ok I would like to add something else. You should not be able to carry 1000 units of food as that would not be unrealistic, there should be a limit to what you can carry. The same goes for drugs (although you should be able to store more drugs).

And don't forget Ice or met amphetamines. Nefarious, quick regen after a while it goes like sudden death, 1 hp, totally fucked.

But if we could save players stats we could also store the adiction info on the player increasing the long term effect of drugs.

Well, if the drug effect script is affecting a player the detection script won't scan that player during drug use. and that won't be abused cause first, hackers don't use cheats, second drugs take hp so it will take the hacked hp.
