In the US taking a child into a bar is "Endangering the welfare of a minor", a slap on the wrist.. fine maybe 30 days jail, and a visit or two from CPS (Child Protective Services)
Taking a child to a pub is perfectly normal here, alot have family areas where food is usually served.
Yeah, I see that now :P Interesting... so would a regular visit to the bar be considered a Scottish thing
