It's not that many if you think about it. Well, maybe games yes, but other apps all have different various goals.

Goggles - scan tripcodes and those squarey(?) "trip"codes, also has various other properties
FMyLife - something to read while in the bathroom  :roll:
Soundhound & Shazam for identifying music. I use Soundhound more, but I had Shazam earlier and don't want to lose its history.
Lookout - In case my phone gets lost/stolen. I think it also scans apps from time to time.
Watchdog - Monitor & manage phone activity and memory usage
Quadratic equation solver - obvious
Zedge - for my background and ringtone needs.
