DISCLAIMER: If you are just gonna shout things like 'you DM'ed' or 'you lied' or 'If you want respect..' WITHOUT READING THIS LETTER PROPERLY, please skip this thread.

I have some things to say after my (and [H2K]Blokhuts) unban request got denied. So here we go.

Before I explain the situation, I have to explain what H2K really is. H2K is a gaming clan with a special fact: every single member knows every other member in real life. I've known Edds and Blokhut since 2007, 1KEA since around 2008, Marc even longer and chaozz for all my life. I guess you could even say some of us are really good friends. So we are friends IN REAL LIFE. While gaming, we communicate on Skype and Whatsapp.

H2K has always been a different clan than most other online clans. Because we know each other in real life we like to fool around with each other. That has always been the spirit of H2K. Online AND offline. We organise our own LAN-Parties, we go to concerts together. You get the picture.

H2K on Argonath. Gosh, where to start. We've been on Argonath since the MTA:VC days and also here we are different than most clans. We don't take ourself too seriously. We like to joke around and basically just have some fun. We like to roleplay, but not too serious. Everything we do and say should be read with a little sarcasm.

Now, about our permanent bans.

You can imagine our suprise when we (chaozz, Blokhut and me) went online last Wednesday and saw =AV=Edds in the playerlist. Normally we communicate on Skype/MSN/Whatsapp when we're going to play a game. But he didn't, AND silently switched clans. Not a problem of course. We asked him why/what/when, but Edds decided to mostly ignore us. Fine, but since Edds is a mate of ours in real life we decided to 'punish' him by chasing him. That's fully in the H2K spirit, and certainly something he would've done if someone else had done what he had done. Also because we know him so well in real life.

Janek quickly became Edds' spokesman, so we got frustrated and decided to kill him. A hitman-like job. Of course, forbidden, because it's technically DM-ing. But we agreed to do it anyway. We chased him around the map when we finally killed him. Because of Janek's involvement I realised that they would complain to admins during our chase and that they most likely were watching us while we were shooting at him.

So when we finally killed him and Mash asked us why, I answered 'self-defense'. As a joke. He probably knew the situation damn well, Edds or Janek would've told him that. So my remark was obviously SARCASM. Of course we killed Edds because of what happened.

Then we got banned immediately for 'lying and deathmatching'. Technically true and undeniable. But I doubt if this is a reason for a permanent ban if you know the full situation.

I personally think that the admins have been VERY disrespectful to us in our unban request threads. We calmy explained the situation OVER and OVER again, but it seemed like they didn't read it AT ALL. Constantly repeating questions which we already answered.

In short: it would be a shame if H2K would suddenly disappear from the Argonath server because of a personal issue with Edds. We did break the rules and we acknowledge that. I hope this clears everything up and I hope our permanent bans will be reconsidered.

If not, this is the end of H2K on Argonath. Which would suck.

Signing off,
[H2K]Rampage

Well said man.

I made my first post on this forum on the 19th of January 2007. It would suck if this was one of the last.

I know why you attacked =AV=Edds and =AV=Janek.
I knew that you would lie about it.
I spotted your indirectly provocative sentences in the public chat.

If you wish an unban I rather see you write an unban request and admit your faults instead of attempt to teach me how I should carry out my administrator duty.

Once again, you didn't read this properly, did you?

That's what we said all along in our unban requests. But it seems to be ignored. We don't deny ANYTHING you say.

Maybe I need new glasses, but all three H2K members clearly admitted their faults already.

Three unban requests have been written already but to no avail, since the intentions of the unban requests have been understood wrongly even after, in total, dozens of elaborations from the H2K members in question.

There is no intention of telling anyone how to carry out a duty. They are merely requests to reconsider what happened and rectify the punishment to what in their opinion is a more suitable way of dealing with rulebreaking.

So you can't just suck it all up, and take your punishment seriously, and apologise and by then you would not have gone to this point?

Don't accept your punishment? Therefore you shit on all of the admins..

I personally think that the admins have been VERY disrespectful to us in our unban request threads.
Stereo type right there.

This has NOTHING to do with 'shitting on admins'. Don't you think it's normal that we get a little frustrated after we explain the situation OVER and OVER again and everybody seems to ignore it?

Once again, WE KNOW what we did wrong and it won't happen again, we have acknowledged it again and again. We said it over and over in our unban requests and here again.

This thread is just to clear the situation up, AGAIN, so that everybody can read what happened and why it happened.

Seeing as the punishment is complete and (apparently) unrevokable banishment, I think it's weird to still expect an apology. If it's humbleness and humiliation you search for, I'd say you're knocking on the wrong door. We are gamers just like you, we just look to have fun, we don't take playing games too seriously.

I would say admitting fault is the same as apologising, the only difference is that you don't have to feel humiliated by it.

Shitting on admins? When? Where? The admins have in some posts used foul language (I don't care how many *'s were in it) and still we're supposedly shitting on admins. Just questioning actions, opinions and use of language is not shitting, in fact, if anyone would go as far as saying questioning authority is wrong and forbidden.....well I think you can do the math on that one.

Rampage and 1KEA, it's no worth replying to Mashgash, he's just defending his own decision. It's your word to his word and you know he will always win (admins always do, that's why I liked to be one). Boromir agrees with him because it's more easy to take the side of a fellow admin (and he seems to have a bad mood).

Just wait for what the wise men have to say and be patient, don't spend your time with useless replies..

The letter shouldn't be written in first place Rampage. You know the rules, your mates do either and as you stated your self knowing you will break the rules you anyway decided to do so not looking up at consequences.

You disrespected your veteran status and our rules by clearly ignoring them and you know it well.

None disallowed you to joke around as far you stay within our server rules, which you did not.

Harassing players is serious offense, when ever it's your real life mate or not, in Argonath we do not appreciate such actions towards anyone. We do not look at your status or what person you are when we place the punishment.

You didn't found proper time for jokes when admin was questioning you towards serious matter, and yes deathmatching and harassing is a serious matter within community.  You might have joked as you state but admin can't know it. We see chat,we can't read your intention or your emotions, lack of interaction I could have spoke but in current situation it's your own fault and only for finding bad time to joke around .

Out most respect to you for being loyal to community for so many ages and holding it within it's respect but in current situation you acted wrong ,when ever you agree or not is up to you but looking again through the case you'll see ,nothing been overreacted ,neither admin handled you too hard punishment.

Veterans are veterans aware of our rules better than anyone  and they hold responsibility within them self's which is act as a proper player and lead by example.

Whats the point of this topic then...? Why couldn't you just make another unban request with a little more respect?

I would say admitting fault is the same as apologising
Where's the remorse?

The admins have in some posts used foul language
You have never used foul language... In your whole life?

Shitting on admins?
Am I accusing the whole of H2K? No, re read my post.

Just questioning actions, opinions and use of language is not shitting, in fact, if anyone would go as far as saying questioning authority is wrong and forbidden.....
Why should you be questioning if you know what you did wrong? And don't say you don't know what was done wrong to end up by players getting banned.

Administrators are not a bunch of players who are stuck up each others arse. We all have disagreements.

Don't you guys think you use too many CAPS?

Nice letter btw, I dislike the part in unban requests where they must accept their mistake to get an unban, whether they made it or not.

A response by Chris that makes my jaw drop quite literally. Once again what is being said by H2K is COMPLETELY disregarded. This is NOT about whether the RULES are being broken, this IS about what  PUNISHMENT is suitable and what is not. I feel like throwing a 13-year-old-girl-fit if just one more person replies without regarding that.

-EDIT-

Rodrico,

About the remorse, once more, do you seek humiliation? I'd think self-gratification over the humiliation of others is.....again, do the math

About the foul language, it's weird to accuse h2k of doing something we're not, while instead admins have done that.

I don't think I accused you of blaming the whole of H2K. What's your point?

We question authority when we feel we're not being heard or when a verdict is spoken wrongly. Questioning authority is a right everyone in any social structure should have. Will you deny players on your server that right? Be sure to let them know you're running a dictatorship before they start playing.

If you make a mistake, you have to admit it and apologize for it. If you are being accused of things you did not do, you shouldn't and aren't supposed to admit to it. Just take a look at my current and previous unban request, you'll see that I admit to the mistakes that I've made and defend myself against stuff that I haven't done.

Usually these wrong accusations are just misunderstandings, so don't go too hard on the admins, they can easily be solved by talking it out. Be polite to those who are polite to you, and just mirror the rather uncomfortable attitudes given to you.
