Hello .
I have an issue with my Videocard : Nvidia 8600 GT.

The issue is that not long ago during playing games it just drop me purple screen and everything stuck,I could only restart pc but at that certain situation when it restarted I had pixels all over my screen and couldn't turn windows back on,but after cool off ,pixels were gone and I could turn pc.

However every next time entering an game I again faced purple screen, restart, pixels.

I can watch videos, use forums but not play the games.

I have two fans doing perfect job at cooling down my videocard as temperature remains between 52-53 and during playing 65-70 .

I had issue before that my down fan wasn't working so it might have overheated before and caused an damage to my videocard.
However I do not face pixels on any regular basis, when ever watching videos, being on desktop ,reading forums.

So question is ,does anyone have clue whats going on and what causes this issue?

I got the same problem with a 8800 GT and the issue is very simple to understand: your graphic card is most likely fried. Would you mind to post screenshots of the so called pixels and purple stuff ? It will allow us to give a clear view on what's wrong.

Your GPU is dead.

If it no longer has warranty, I'd try out this trick which I know has fixed my friend's 8800GT twice.

You can bake it if you don't mind it fucking up again later, but you should probably buy a new GPU.

And could you actually use internet browsers, watch movies and use forums while it was dead?  Just to make sure symptoms are similar. As about oven part,it's even more expensive than videocard it self as I don't have oven either.  :gd:

We can see on the screenshots some visual artifact. As it has been said, this is typical of a GPU about to die. Yes you still can watch movies and surf on Internet, but you cannot play any game properly. Monitor your other components to avoid any further troubles (especially the CPU).

Currently I'm holding above water with my fluffy VGA wire with 120mb graphics, which let's me play samp with 5 fps.

I can't afford new graphic card and it may take up to three months to get one,so RIP.  :(

As they all said, dead GPU.
Have you/had you recently opened your PC up at any point?

You could probably ask a friend to let you use his oven or something, man.

When you switch on a game, the video mode of the graphics card switches, and in this case switches to a mode that is defective.
Use a program that visually displays all your screen modes and find out which one crash, then try to avid those in playing games.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

What program would it be?
