Yeh there's also a Mafia 2 MP that is developed by some SAMP developers too. Most probably the V:MP for GTA V will be developed by the SAMP team too. :)

JC2MP is awesome! :D You can actually test it when they run beta tests, usually a few months apart on weekends.

the extended faction function, which they working on, is the magic key.  all sorts of factions with extended edit function, like colors and user administration. combat factions in turf war, driving faction and more , i even created a kind of Tourist faction where we made divingtour for sunken city or visiting tourist attractions all around in panau, of course in a TukTuk.

I've been on the beta public test!

It was great fun, JC2MP is great fun never the less.

Explosions, cars, boats, chaos. No matter how weird it sounds it's great fun.
Recommended, really. Even how chaotic it is its really fun to be a part of the huge ass chaos that's going on.

Yes the JC2 map is huge and has lots of great terrains to explore. I hope the GTA V developers can take a few lessons from looking at it.

It may take some years to continue development but I can see this becoming a sort of SAMP if they added the different factions. Certainly a very vast place for different types of roleplay.
