Dear Judges and the State of Argonath,
ProLawyers Co. is suing the following Person(s) on behalf of our client Rapture: harryoconnor, Verz, Tobi, Achilles

On behalf of my client Rapture, we are putting forward a list of charges against several police officers who were today involved in an event where my client was arrested, abused, and falsely accused of wrongdoings that were never proven legit. These claims consist of charges of police brutalility and failure to secure my clients safety whilst in custody.

Now I'm sure, as a citizen of Vice City, we all expect to be treated fairly, with respect, and most importantly kept safe by our law enforcement (VCPD). However, in my clients last events with the VCPD, he was abused, treated with no respect, and was terribly harassed in order to admit to something he didn't commit. Now I'm sure we all can agree in this court, that this is indeed not at all justice, this is pure police brutality that my client suffered.

As my client Rapture was arrested, he was shot by officer harryoconner whilst showing no signs of resistant at all. Thankfully, my client wears a kevlar vest for protection, which did stop the bullet endangering his life. However he still recieved a heavy bruise from the bullets encounter. Witnesses of this situation are both officers Verz and Achilles. Soon after this, Achilles attacked my client for no reason at all, bruising him even more so. This officer showed signs of being mentally instable and should in no way be fit enough to serve for our law enforcement.

During the interrogation where the officers were suppose to prove their claims on my client, in which they failed to do so, the station was terribly organized and a complete mess. First of all, countless citizens were allowed into the office who harrassed not only my client but myself as well. The officers failed to deal with these citizens and it soon spiraled out of control where a citizen was shot inside the office endangering my client. They failed to clear the corpse from the room which made my client feeling very unpleasant during further questioning. It was also during the interrogation that officer Tobi attacked my client with a police-batton injuring my client and adding even more bruises to his body.

A doctor was called to the scene who checked over my clients injuries caused by the VCPD. He is more than willing to testify here, as he (on request) filed a report on the situation. My client Rapture is also willing to testify if necessary. Evidence will be shown on request by the Judge.

My demands are:

• $30,000 compensation for my clients injuries caused by the officer - Tobi, harryoconnor, Archilles
• $20,000 compensation for the damages caused because of the officers failure to ensure my clients safety whilst in custody - harryoconnor, Verz

Mr Rapture, ProLawyers Co. [plaintiff] has opened a case against members of law enforcement, officers harryoconnor, [WS]Verz, Tobi, Achilles [defendants], on alleged counts of police abuse/brutality/lack of professionalism/danger to public.

I understand that Rapture, your client, was taken into custody by members of the police force. Would it be possible to receive further information, especially regarding the said crime of Rapture, and process in which Rapture was placed under arrest?

From internal investigations, we have found out that all the defendants mentioned are freelance operatives of the Argonath RPG Police Department, exempt Verz, who is employed by the Vice City Police Department.

A doctor was called to the scene who checked over my clients injuries caused by the VCPD. He is more than willing to testify here, as he (on request) filed a report on the situation. My client Rapture is also willing to testify if necessary. Evidence will be shown on request by the Judge.

Please present any and all available relevant evidence. The court would greatly appreciate reviewing the evidence before proceeding further.
Also, would it be possible for Rapture to give a personal statement in court?

At this stage, the court shall begin by working with the plaintiffs, before calling up the defendants.
No members of defence required to give any statements immediately, so that plaintiff can put forward all evidence and call up any other witnesses to back up their case.

This incident is yet to be confirmed and verified.
The safety of those in custody by the police, as well as civilians and staff is down to the operatives present and available - this will have to be checked, and it should be first established whether anyone was at fault and/or if safety and security at the police station was breached as a result of carelessness/unprofessionalism by the ARPD.

Greetings,

I'm Rapture and I would like to point out some important facts in this court case.
After a helicopter ride with my attorney, I was surrounded by police officers and quickly harassed
to "stop resisting arrest". I had no idea what was going on at the time. Officer Harry pulled out his
service pistol and shot my back, thankfully I was wearing body armour which saved my life.
I complied and I arrived at the station. Shortly after, I was being accused of various crimes,
unaware of what was going on, I asked for a cup of coffee, which surprisingly took a while to arrive.

As I was drinking my coffee, officer Achilles approached me and started swinging his nightstick without any hesitation whatsoever.
I was hurt pretty bad from that beating, that was straight police brutality from his side, it has also shown that he was mentally in-stable.
Shortly after, I saw Harryoconor and [WS]Verz discussing in the other room, then suddenly another officer came by with the name "Tobi".
He pulled out his nightstick, pretty much the same situation as Achilles and he started swinging it right at me, at the moment I was drinking coffee, so after a few hard
hits I spilled my coffee all over my pants, which caused me to get burnt pretty badly.

As the investigation continued, I was continued to be harassed of various crimes I didn't commit, and after all I was treated like an animal with no human rights.
I also asked for another cup of coffee, as I have only taken three sips of the previous one, [WS]Verz approached me and handed me the coffee in an aggressive manner saying "This isn't a goddamn restaurant!".
A few stalkers came by and started looking through the glass, I asked them to leave immediately, at first the officers took action, but then they just let them fight.

When the officers finally came back to their senses, they shot the man in cold blood, leaving him behind me for the whole investigation, I got sick and puked a little bit, but thanks to my attorney
I managed to keep my cool about it. Outside of my investigation room, a riot began and the body count kept increasing. A few shots went by our investigation room, I was advised to duck behind the desk,
by then I was hiding for my life. My attorney went outside the investigation room to ask Harryoconnor to let me go by uncuffing me from the table, since I have the right to be on bail until the court case.
Meanwhile, a creepy looking man came by the investigation room and started asking me weird questions, I called out for my attorney and she came and helped me, this was a prime example of VCPD's failure to protect their citizens,
even if they are suspects, it doesn't matter. Harry pretty much ignored that and kept saying that I was under arrest for those crimes, even though I did not see any legit evidence from him.
He kept saying he's got evidence, but in the end he did not show any of it.
Thankfully, an officer which was thinking straight came by and unlocked my handcuffs, I was told to stay in-town until the court case, and I have.

I'm still in trauma and pain from that police station. It was poorly organized, unsafe and life threatening.

The above two scenarios are particularly worrying, and Rapture has mentioned that more than one person was shot... and killed?
This is of particular concern and both parties shall be questioned on this.

The court is currently working with the plaintiff to determine the incidents that took place, and to give them a chance to present full evidence.
