You'd think that given their status they would each have their individual responsibility of not revealing their work... they wouldn't (probably) be the kind of people who mix personal life with work life.

Hopefully they didn't actually give away classified info anyway, and hopefully their punishment didn't go beyond what was reported.

How would it affect anyone to know?

They only popped Bin Laden in the head, not like theres too many secrets there apart from the documents on memory sticks and paper they discovered.. Too be honest I think it's disgusting that America keeps them all secret, since alot of Bin's documents were terrorist plots, they should have been shared with the countrys involving those plots.

I'm guessing it's more so to do with the principle than of what actually might have been found at one incident.

There are a lot more "confidential" stuff that people working in the civil service may come across though, not necessarily just talking about what happened at one event, but maybe more than that and surrounding the build up to it/aftermath or something maybe even completely unrelated.

Well, in that case.. Its not like seal team 6 woke up and walked in to work and boss man was like "Oh hey guys, today you are killing Osama.." they knew months before and built a house based off the blueprints of the compound and practiced over and over, as well as monitored intel months before.

I know they built a house, I watched a documentary on it not long after, wasn't a house anyway it was just a bunch of walls, they didn't plan for all the fake doors on the inside though, as nobody could have possibly knew.

There was many secrets, things we still don't know and may never know. We know only what they want us to know. While we think a few documents and some thumb-drives is everything, that's only what we've been told and trust me... there is more they haven't told us everything they found there.
