Pistol Man, for a Christian and believer in God to wish someone to burn in hell is the highest form of insult. Please think before you write such a thing.
When you look around you at the world and what is happening, it is hard to believe we are one with the rest of it. This is why there is a need for a higher beeing, who can at the same time watch over us and correct when we do something wrong.

It does not matter if you believe in God, Allah, Buddha or the Pharaoh. They all tell you to live your life in a way that you do not harm or think bad of others, and if you do cross that line to repent the actions or thoughts that caused harm. You can follow these rules without believing in a God, there is nobody who can take the blame for you.

Many things can be found back thats written in the bible.. The bible said something about how the future will look, read it and you will see some of them already happened... And if you read more you will see that the other ones will most likely happen too  (dont ask me where in the bible, cant remember)

The first post was an answer to Pistol Man in the sharphis' topic, expecially an answer for the sentence:

And in front of this racist and discriminating opinions i must say something.

First, if god said that (and unfortunatly he said that) then he is racist and he discriminates humans only cause they have different choices

Second, i wont and i will never beleive in something that threats you like: Go to church or you will burn in hell, beleive in me or i will send you in hell and you will burn, do what i say or you will burn in hell. These sentences are equals to dictatorships and dictators speech and laws...and i am against dictators,

Third, i wont beleive in the chatolic religion cause of the oppressive presence of the Roman Church in Italy. You should live here here for 1 or 2 months to check with your eyes the situation. The priests threat you to go to church (I don't care, but some people are still afraid), they force you to donate thing such money, clothes, even jewerly, or you will be know as a bastard, heretic or else...i don't care obviously since i have a mind and a brain, but a lot of people still think they will die in hell if they don't obey.

Jesus has never said you must go to church and beleive in a "pope" to be a good christian..neither to beleive in saints and other stuff.

Conclusion...The pope says he is Jesus/God on earth and he act like a Corleone Boss who only cares about profits and privilege and causes leukemia? (I mean the real Corleonesi not the Argonath clan lol) And god does not punish him? Yes...if i think on it...i can say i don't beleive in god because of the behaviour of the Roman Church.

What I read from Lucas post makes me sad.

The thing with god and such is really confusing, but seeing as I'm an agnostic I really don't have an opinion, my reason for leaning a little towards atheism is because the atheist can explain most things, but they cannot explain such things at: What happens when you die.

So as an Agnostic, I say, You can't know anything for sure. God might exist, he might not, you can't prove he exist nor can you prove he doesn't.
yes, you can prove some of the bible wrong, but you can't prove that there is no higher beings, such as god.

Remember people, there is allot other religions than Christianity, take Hinduism for an example, also there is a Jedi religion somewhere in Britain...

Alright, this is your fault: it's all your fault that you're about to have to go through me talk about religion, and homosexuality.

Now, I was in church with my father when I was a young boy, but for several years, I got away from it, avoiding having to go every Sunday and listen to people tell the same boring story over and over, about some guy who was so great in his day, but today wouldn't show up even if we were in the deepest pit of peril, on our death bed, or so depressed and destroyed mentally and emotionally that we could hardly speak.

About a year or more ago, I got back into church, when my girlfriend invited me to come with her one Sunday to a very small, local church. I reluctantly agreed, taking it more as a chance to be around her, than a chance to be in the house of God or to study the history and happenings of the Holy Bible.

For a year or so, things were great, and I was even baptized, having claimed (and honestly believed) to have found religion, and to have spoken to God in my head. I was baptized, felt alright for a while, and even became something I'm honestly not for a while (listened to Gospel and Country, stopped cussing, et cetera).

Yet, the church eventually died out, so that I stopped going. Me and my girlfriend broke up, and having all of this time to think, I finally realize that regardless of whether religion is worth it or not, and regardless of whether there is a God or not, we all have to have something to believe in. We all need something that tells us "it's worth to continue going", whether it be religion and a god or some form, or whether it be something more futile and idolistic, like a trip to Disneyland, or something along those lines.

As for homosexuality, I've never liked seeing two guys on each other - never. Not my thing, and never will be, but even at that, I don't put it down and strike it out as a terrible thing. I refuse to be around homosexual males, but outside of that, they can do what they want, I don't care. Now, homosexual females are another subject for another time, and a much more adult-oriented thread. 

In conclusion, whatever comments were once made about the Bible saying homosexuality is wrong, just ignore them. I never read the full Bible, but I never remember it saying "Though shall not have cordial relations with someone of the same sex." Maybe it did, but I never saw it, or heard about it directly saying that.

It's all on pretense, people. Leave it as simple as that.

Yep Sickness, sad or not, that is what many heterosexual males think. I have to admit that I like to watch videos that include 2 females doing things together, but if it was males, no thanks.. Still it doesn't mean that I have anything against bi/homosexual men.

Also, do you really have to post stuff like "......." ? If you're going to post something, atleast say something in that post, don't just flood smileys or dots please.

But anyways, this topic is about religion and we should stay on topic. I don't really believe in anything, but sometimes when something really fucks up, I start to think like "Oh noes, help me god" and I usually get that help. Coincidence or not, dunno.

After 2000 years, its hard to know who said what. There is still a censure on some books that speak about Jesus and his mother Mary...obviously is not a law, but most of people don't buy them cause they are chatolic and they follow what the commands of the church.

All i know is what the church, in name of god and jesus, have done in the last 1700 years...
And i can't ignore someone who say: i beleive in god, but i don't respect homosexuals, they make me creep, i feel disgusted, i feel embarassed.

I am not homosexual, i will never marry or love a man...but this does not means i should disrespect someone cause my love is oriented to another way. Expecially if someone command me to disrespect some people.

I want to show another example.

1 year ago, some italian parties proposed a law to recognize some rights to the "Couples of fact", i don't know how to translate it in english...something like: you live with your lover since 9-10 years ago, and you would like to assure him/her a future in case of death or if you want to keep sharing your life with him/her in an early future. This law was named PACS and then renamed DICO "DIritti e doveri delle persone stabilmente COnviventi", in english: "Rights and duties of people who firmly live togheter". Rights such some help to pay bills, help to buy books for sons and daughters, some privileges and less bureaucracy...the dream of millions of couples. Obviously make a choice was impossible (All or nobody, differences between homosexuals and heterosexuals were not acceptable by the left wing of the italian government) and the law included also homosexual couples...but the Pope, from his window in Vatican City declared: the DICO are against the family and the Chatolic religion, they are against the normal italian families and they are not acceptable. So the majority of politicians suddenly changed their opinions, priests started to make some propaganda against the DICO and people have lost their hope in the Government and a finally a democratic change. Actually, in Italy the Mayors have the right to marry people...not yet homosexuals couples, but is still a way to avoid the Church and the priests.

That law has been forgotten, deleted from the projects of the Welfare State because the Church, once again, showed its oppression on italians. And the politicians proved again Italy is not a democratic country.

Russians have a difference in meaning "believer" and "religious"...
Religious people are like strict community, that should go to the church trust all padres say, make rituals, like drinking vine with bread, water christens, etc...
Believers just believe - there is something, which can be also called "God", or believe in some Good Power and Bad power, etc...

So actually, believer and religious people are different for Russia... Telling "I am religious" does not mean "I am believer"... And "religious" is mainly like to bad word... Telling "I am believer" does not mean "I am religious", and it has more positive answers...)))
